We are currently staying here as a family of 10. Location - brilliant , close to shopping centres , the beach etc Food - good, some nights better than others but always find something. My favourite so far has been the Mexican food . It would be good if they did more themed nights - Chinese etc . Good for coeliacs (my kids) The pool bar has screens you can scan your wrist band on order from (bit like McDonald’s) and the food is nice - burgers, hot dogs, pizza, jalopino cheese bites etc and amazing big cookies ! Very disappointed with the ice cream machine though as that has been out of order a lot since we have been here and my daughter is gluten free so she has been disappointed she can’t have anything else as a snack so been having to buy her snacks from the shop when it’s not working. Bar - the pool bar could do with a few more staff , there are often long ques . There is another bar around the adults pool but have been here just over a week so far and it have only seen it open twice and every time I go there to get a drink there is nobody there to serve one. The fun bar in the evenings is great , they do table service and you don’t usually have to wait too long. Sunbeds - can be an issue , people que from about 7 to get them, gates open at 8 , doesn’t seem to be enough sunbeds for the amount of guests in the hotel . When you do get a sunbed you can’t leave it unattended because they will take all your towels and belongings . They put a note on the sunbed then if your not back within 20 mins they take all your things to reception. We havnt had this happen but seen people that have so now we can’t all go to breakfast together as we are worried we will lose the sunbeds so one of us always has to stay out and “ guard “ the sunbeds and then swap. I can understand this system to a certain extent but maybe wait until after breakfast time before removing things so people can enjoy their breakfast and not have to rush. Up ! - we paid extra to upgrade to up and had a meal there which was lovely , had a singer and not many others dining . The views are amazing and there are 2 jacuzzis and an infinity pool which is lovely and warm. We just didn’t realise kids can’t go up there so has been a bit wasted on us really , just take turns to go up there but that’s not the hotels fault, that’s ours for not reading up on it properly. Rooms - no complaints , standard rooms , always kept clean . The best part is your wristband is your key card so you don’t have to worry about carrying one around in your bag and making sure you don’t leave it in the room and shut the door with it still in ! That’s a nice touch. Pools - adults only pool, normal pool, kids pool with slides , something for everyone. My only complaint would be the lack of lifeguards around the main pool - there isn’t one ! There is one that is more of a towel boy that sits near the adult pool giving out towels. I have sat on his chair and he can see the main pool from where he is but in my opinion he’s way too far away and not able to watch the pool enough as he is changing peoples towels and disappears to get more towels. All in all a great hotel , we would return

“Very good for both adults and kids but bad management”

This is a lovely hotel. This is a lovely hotel. I think this because there is lots of things to do like go in the pool or go in the same and infinity pool bit they are adults only.There are plenty of other things to do there is even a spar in this hotet this is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy a holiday. The food is also very good as there is a screen to Oder your food on and the food is very nice and the bar staff are aswell but the hotels management is not very good. This is because there is a lot of mistakes and and thing the managers won’t look into some of it. This is very good for both adults and children as there adults only pools and there are water slides for the kids

ENTERTAINMENT The entertainment team work really hard and there are a nice variety of activities available. Our family would have liked to see more water based activities, but that's obviously our personal preference! We're yet to stay at a hotel which offers an entertainment programme as good as VIVA hotels (particularly Cala Mesquida). ROOMS As mentioned in other reviews the rooms are basic but sufficient. Ours looked onto the kids play area, which meant we heard a loud bell being rung regularly and never had any sun. It didn't really bother us but if you want a nice relaxing balcony area it might be worth paying for an upgrade. The hotel kindly arranged for interconnecting rooms for us which is a massive help as a family with older children. My main gripe with our room was the cold shower. I informed reception several times but I didn't actually have a warm shower until our 6th night there. Prior to that it was a case of being as quick as possible and feeling freezing once I'd finished! Definitely not 4*! POOL AREAS The pool areas are lovely and the pools are nice and warm. The slide section is great for kids though a bit tame for my two (12 & 15). Bus stop right outside the hotel that provides a free bus to Siam Park though. As mentioned by other reviews it doesn't feel like there's enough beds for all the guests. We sat around the adult pool our whole week and we weren't asked to move but the children weren't allowed in the pool. My son is 6'5" and could easily pass for 18 but as he had a child's wrist band even he wasn't allowed in the adults pool, even if all he was doing was swimming. I totally appreciate why there's an adults pool but I think they should maybe allow 16 and above in if they're only using it for exercising. Due to the limited space I also think it might be worth removing the 'adult only' restriction during the busier months, particularly school holidays. Especially when there's an adults only area on the roof which looks fab! FOOD The breakfast buffet was great and had everything you could want including freshly made orange juice which was delicious! Finishes at 10am though which is quite early for us! We went half board which you can use for lunch or dinner if you request a ticket from reception on the day. You do have to pay 5 Euros per adult and 2.5 for kids to do this because all your drinks are included. This is obviously a good deal if you drink a lot but was quite pricey for our few waters, particularly when the coffee machines weren't accessible. We only ate here one lunch time and it was nice with lots available and fresh meat cooked upon request. We just prefer to go out. Pool snack bar was good and the kids enjoyed pizza and chips from here the day we arrived. BEACH The nearest beach is quite busy and very calm. Great for little ones but mine prefer the waves that beaches further away offer. RESORT We visit Tenerife twice a year and this is the first time we've not stayed in Costa Adeje (since having kids anyway!!). I'd always thought of Las Americas being the rougher of the two resorts but it's actually much nicer with a great variety of restaurants and a lovely street adjacent to the beach. We'd definitely stay this end again though my favourite Tenerife hotel is still Iberostar Anthelia which is in Costa Adeje. Would I stay here again? I'm yet to stay in the same hotel twice but I wouldn't say no for the right amount, but it would need to be a bargain!

Staying at this hotel currently with my son's and it is really lovely but not sure it meets a 4 star rating or warrants the 4 star price tag. Staying at this hotel currently with my son's and it is really lovely but not sure it meets a 4 star rating or warrants the 4 star price tag. My room is clean but only has a view of the bar roof and it is very noisy at 9pm just as my 5yo is falling asleep. I paid full price for my 5yo but his bed is a sofa trundle. They offer good children's entertainment earlier in the evening in a different space for young children but unfortunately the main entertainment is just below our room and really kicks off at his bed time. The beach is about 8mins away, it's located in a nice area. It's well maintained. Pros: - Very clean and the staff work hard to keep it this way. - Great range and quality of food in the buffet restaurant. - Great pools - clean and well maintained. - Lovely children's facilities (some at an additional cost though). - Complimentary WiFi available. - English (& other languages) TV channels available. Cons: - Items that should be included in your room all have an additional cost, even if you have paid all inclusive, e.g. no room kettle, no complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate or even water, no iron, no shampoo, no shower cap or cotton buds etc just very basic shower gel. You must pay an upgrade if you want robes or slippers, pool towels require a deposit, the spa facilities are an additional cost etc etc (you get the idea!) - Restaurant staff hassle you to buy drinks and try to remove water glasses if you are not purchasing expensive bottled water - very poor sustainability credentials. - Pool bed wars are real here! More guests than space. - The front desk staff rely on the hotel app rather than provide info at check in. They're always busy and seen a little harassed. Certainly no concierge service. - The Up! facility is a lot more money to upgrade (€50/day if you're half board) - No prices listed at the bars or food outlet and children can rack up costs on their wrist bands. So, a nice hotel but no little luxuries that make you feel remotely valued as a guest. Following the customer 'service' teams response to this review in Google, I would add that casing aspersions as to what I can afford is unnecessary and tacky. My feedback is constructive, not critical, and your inability to accept it as such only evidences the level of service you're providing.
