As Hilton Honors Diamond members we have stayed at numerous hotels across the world and the Rome Waldorf Cavalieri is our favourite hotel. In fact we have been there on 4 occasions. The hotel is like an art gallery inside, with the numerous paintings and tapestries exhibited throughout. The staff are fantastic throughout all the areas of the hotel. The concierge team were very helpful and Alessandro in particular assisted us in planning our various trips in Rome. Irma in the customer services team was a great help in assisting us with our booking. We had an Imperial Room which was upgraded to include a city view. These rooms are fabulous, very comfortable and well furnished. The Imperial Lounge which we could utilise had various sandwiches, snacks, canopies and drinks available, adding to our excellent experience of the hotel. Emanuela Bo and her team colleagues really made us so welcome and looked after us when we were in the lounge. We had breakfast every morning which had a great selection of delicious food to start our busy days exploring Rome. A big thanks to Bob Sinatra working in the restaurant for looking after us so well. A big thanks to the staff at reception who were always so friendly, helpful and professional. I mentioned the fabulous rooms earlier and of course must mention the great job the housekeeping service staff did. This is a hotel that really made our visit to Rome even more memorable, a truly enjoyable experience which we’ll make sure to return to again.

“Excellent hotel and great service but not good concierge advise”

We visited Rome and decided to stay in a hotel which is away from the centre, as we always do. This hotel was excellent location for great relaxed sleep after a full day in the centre of Rome. We visited Rome and decided to stay in a hotel which is away from the centre, as we always do. This hotel was excellent location for great relaxed sleep after a full day in the centre of Rome. Real 5* as expected of Waldorf Astoria. Staff really nice and helpful . Spotless all along and excellent room over looking the city. Beds very good, wide and comfortable,all amenities are great in the suite we had. Yes it is an expensive hotel, but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately the only downside was our experience with the concierge desk. They are very nice, polite but refer you to restaurants that are touristy only. We were booked every evening to places that we asked to be local not for tourists. When arrived, found out it was 100 % tourist place, in some not even one Italian person as staff. Always went to different one that we found at the end, local and real Italian owners and diners. Will be happy to come again , but not to use the concierge help.

“5 Stars -Exceptional!”

This hotel is 5 stars all the way. My mom and I were treated like royalty before even stepping foot on the property. This hotel is 5 stars all the way. My mom and I were treated like royalty before even stepping foot on the property. We decided to pay for the car service from FCO to the hotel, because we were arriving after three layovers, and we didn’t want to wait for a taxi. The car service was exceptional! The hotel is on the outskirts of Rome, however, this was never a problem, as we used the shuttle bus services , or the hotel called a taxi, which arrived in seconds. We stayed in February, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the pools, but all of the outdoor activities looked amazing. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was the biggest I’ve had in Europe! Also of note, the hair dryer was just as good as the one I have at home! A great surprise! We also took advantage of the breakfast and lounge in the evenings. Excellent service and amazing food all around. Don’t worry about the hotel being slightly outside of the city, it’s worth it for the view, service and comfort. Truly a wonderful experience.

“Great upscale hotel, but don't try to upgrade your upscale.”

This hotel definitely lived up to the hype of beauty and style that I was expecting. The room (8th floor) was immaculate and had one of the best views of the city. This hotel definitely lived up to the hype of beauty and style that I was expecting. The room (8th floor) was immaculate and had one of the best views of the city. However, I was upsold on (I believe it was called the Ambassador level) which came with access to a private club and a higher room. This was roughly a 50% increase in price. It was no where near worth it. The private club had a couple finger foods and simple drink selections. I also had to forego the hotel breakfast to eat here, and breakfast was very lackluster(for the location). Also, my room came with a GIGANTIC soundproof mirror wall towards the hallway. It extended floor to ceiling and did just that, blocked all sound. However, I was in an adjoining room setup, and we had to listen to EVERYTHING my neighbor was doing. Seems strange they did not factor that in. If I had stuck with the original room, I would consider this 5 stars. Do not fall for the room upgrade.
