Ambassador Cruise Line warmly welcomes guests with disabilities, including those with mobility restrictions as well as restricted sight and hearing. However, with the very different nature of a cruising holiday when compared to one on land, and purely for safety reasons, such guests should be accompanied by an able-bodied, or a fully sighted/hearing companion (as appropriate), who will be responsible for providing any assistance that you may require both onboard and ashore. In addition to this, Ambasador Cruise Line welcomes guests who wish to bring a lightweight wheelchair/scooter with them for shore use only however, these must be stored in your cabin at all times and cannot be used on board the vessel in any circumstance.

All COVID-19 vaccination and testing requirements have now been lifted. Although many of the COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted, we are very conscious that the virus still affects many people. Whilst we still recommend that guests have two doses of a UK Government approved vaccination, this is no longer mandatory for many of our sailings. COVID-19 requirements will differ for some itineraries due to entry requirements from host countries, such as Ambience’s 2024 Grand Round the Word Cruise and Ambition’s 2024 Highlights of Brazil and West Indies Adventure. Accordingly, we will communicate any restrictions to those booked on these sailings in due course. This change in policy will supersede any information that guests have previously received.

Visa, testing and entry requirements can change at any time, and it is your own responsibility to ensure that you check with a professionally qualified source and comply with such requirements. Around 14 days prior to sailing, you will receive an email confirming specific information relating to your chosen itinerary. This will confirm any important, destination specific requirements. The Travel Visa Company is Ambassador Cruise Line’s preferred visa, testing and entry provider. They can offer help and advice on specific requirements for Ambassador Cruise Line’s cruising itineraries as well as independent travel. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non-British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel. Ambassador is a ticketless cruise line, so we will not issue guests with a physical cruise ticket. Instead, you will be able to log in to ‘My Ambassador Sailing’ to check in online and to download your boarding pass and final documentation once online check in opens, 72 hours prior to sailing. To ensure a stress-free embarkation journey, you will need to bring a valid 10-year passport - For travel to an EU country (except Ireland), or Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City, you must meet the Schengen area rules. Your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be: 1. less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’) 2. valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’). For travel outside of the EU your passport should be valid for 6 months after the date of your return. Please note that these requirements apply to all cruises, even those only visiting the British Isles. ////// You will also need to bring a digital or printed copy of your boarding pass. Online check-in will open 72 hours prior to departure and to ensure a smooth embarkation process at the port, we strongly encourage you to check-in online and download your boarding pass in advance by logging on to My Ambassador Sailing. If you haven’t completed the online check-in process, you will be required to swipe your credit/debit card at embarkation, in order to activate your Onboard Account. For those guests not wishing to pay by credit/debit card, payment can be made in cash, but you must deposit cash at Reception, by midnight on embarkation day.
