Third visit to Magic Crystal, fantastic stay and looking forward to our next visit in October! The rooms are dated, but expect that for the price we paid, the room was however immaculate, the same as our previous experiences. All staff we met were great, aside from the smiley chap who replenished the room fridge we found they all spoke great English. Language wasn't an issue, it was easy enough to show we just needed 1 pepsi! The hotel was quieter than we've seen it before. The food was better than our last visit, we found something to eat every meal. I particularly enjoyed the paella one lunchtime, also the mexican bombs (chilli wrapped in mash and breaded) and the yellow mash and paprika cabbage. I do wonder if the hotel would benefit from scrapping the full snack bar though and offer just toasties, crisps and perhaps ice-cream in the bar areas instead? The current snack bar is based in the restaurant and more a scaled down offering of the usual food. Toasties would be simple, give some variety from the usual menu and be less work for the staff. The game experience was an early evening hit for my son, we weren't looking for any additional daytime entertainment as he's happy having time in the pool with the other kids. The entertainment in the Magic Cafe was good, we saw 2 excellent singers on our 3 night stat and were well looked after by Anita at the bar. Another great short trip/ holiday in sunny Benidorm, looking forward to our next visit!

“Ok but could be better”

Booked this with quite good expectations but was disappointed. I have no issue with the fact that this hotel does cater for Spanish people. Booked this with quite good expectations but was disappointed. I have no issue with the fact that this hotel does cater for Spanish people. What I do have an issue with is the fact they're rude and ignorant Spanish people. They push to the front of the queue's, barge you out of the way of the lift. And the staff allow it to happen. Reception queue's are ridiculous. But if a Spanish person walks to the front they'll get served. It's wrong. Roof terrace is beautiful, but no snacks other than crisps. So have to go from floor 7 to floor -1 to get snacks lunch etc. They need something by the pool bar. There were lots of people with picnics they'd brought in. When the Spanish say round the area they took over the place, rude and inconsiderate. The rooms are ok, we had to move to a balcony one as we quickly discovered this hotel has no outdoor space other than the roof terrace. And that's not open until 10 or 11 and closes at 7. The English bar is absolutely shocking, took us 3 days to find it and it's shoved away in the basement. Don't bother finding it. The food is ok. Breakfast is the best meal after that it's russian roulette. But mostly edible. I definitely wouldn't return but my holiday wasn't spoilt. Once I'd told the rude Spanish people what I thought of them. It's so nearly there but missing lots of outdoor space. No one wants to eat inside all the time when they're on their hols.
