Hotel paradise was great spacious rooms nice quiet pool area very cold pool ( freezing ) pool guard always round the pool which I think was great to see we stayed for two weeks and had all our meals from restaurant which was very handy as was so far from shops ect after sunbathing all day last thing you'd want is long walk Hotel if perfect stay but very far from shops to buy essentials milk water ect it was a good 20min walk sounds reasonable but in baking sun feel s more ! Staff very nice my son & daughter had wonderful time only thing I'd say beds very uncomfortable and strange two singles in each room Good point s Food great from Hotel Peaceful pool area Friendly staff Big rooms Bad points Far from shops for your daily essential s Beds could be better Bit noisy at night Time with late nighter holiday makers

“Overall examination of this holiday complex”

We have just returned from a two-week visit through Jet2 and in reviewing it, it is important that it is not reviewed as a 5 star hotel. The Jet2 classification is 2.5 and the 'official' figure is 3. I have based my review on accommodation at this level. It does not claim to be 5* and it is not priced as such. It is good value for what it is. 1) Location - It is located right at the back of the town. It is in a quiet area with virtually no traffic passing by. We hired a car throughout our stay. Whilst you can walk into town and there is a courtesy bus at 11.00am returning at 4.00pm, without your own transport I believe that your holiday would be spoilt. Just one example; we wanted to visit the Country Music Night that advertises a Coach to take you there - the nearest pick-up point in CT is 1.6 kilometers from the hotel. Parking in the road outside was never a problem. Even adding the cost of a car to the cost of staying here leaves the price reasonable and is so convenient for travelling down into town apart from any other other uses. There is no supermarket anywhere nearby. 2) Overall View - We used our accommodation as a base for travelling out, not using the facilities. There are two swimming pools (that were not being used as they are not heated) but they looked ideal for hotter weather (temperature during our stay averaged 22C day and 16C evening). The bar was well frequented but we didn't use it. 3) Accommodation - We stayed in Flat 33 which was advertised as a one-bedroomed flat. It was the largest one-bedroomed flat that I have ever stayed in! It had a balcony that stretched between the lounge and the bedroom. It was not overlooked and had a view for miles. Lanzarote is not a pretty island and this view wasn't' attractive. 4) Cleaning - the whole complex, including our flat was very clean. We still had not worked out when it was being cleaned by the end of our stay. The official position that we understood before our visit was cleaning weekly. When we arrived, it suggested weekly but a change of towels for stays over 4 days. In practice it was never more than 4 days, but sometimes as little as 2 days. We got in the habit of looking out of our door before going out in the morning as a black bin-liner full of new towels/sheets etc was left outside if it was due for a clean. 5) Furnishings - they were perfectly useable but fairly old and tatty (scratches etc). 6) Noise - Generally, it was very quiet. I am not sure whether it would be worse when the complex was full as the only noise heard was when people were walking past. 7) Bedroom - 2 single beds - hard mattresses - pushed together, slightly larger than English Singles (possibly, 1 metre rather than 3 foot). Plenty of drawers and hanging space. Loads of sockets here and throughout the flat. You pay extra to use the safe. We didn't bother. 8) Bathroom - well-fitted, with separate toilet, wash-basin and full-size bath with decent shower above. 9) Open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining-room with 2 stools for the breakfast bar and 4 seats at the dining-table (we moved one to the bedroom as there was only one bedside table). 10) Kitchen - Reasonably well-equipped as long as you didn't want to cook full meals. We ate breakfasts and our small (bread/cake based) meal in the flat, eating out for the main meals. Equipped with kettle, toaster, micro-wave, small-hob and fridge. Cutlery/crockery was adequate (buy your own mugs at a souvenir shop if you like a decent sized drink - you can always take them home). 11) Lounge - Settee was adequate. The TV had a wide-range of channels of various languages including all the main UK channels and a few digital ones. 12) WiFi - Not the strongest, but adequate. We listened to our Boom Radio App on our Tablet for 60s/70s music and UK news which occasionally cut out for a few seconds, and also managed to download our Digital Daily Mail slowly but without problems. 13) Bugs - There was a bug-killer spray in a kitchen cupboard but we didn't see a bug or fly of any sort during our stay - admittedly it was not the peak summer season. 14) Return Visit? - It is unlikely that we will return to CT or to Lanzarote; but if we did, I would not hesitate to return to Lanzarote Paradise. Good Value for what it was.

Basic Accomodation, this is what you need to understand when you book here. If that's understood and accepted then you'll enjoy your stay. We have stayed in Costa Teguise 9 times, mostly in 4* or villas but this was a last minute winter sun booking so happy to go more basic and thats just what you get so you can't complain, because that's what was booked. The points below are what's needed to know. In reality, you get what you pay for. If you wanted a better quality hotel, food options, or general better feel in a upmarket sense, pay more and get a higher grade. Pay cheaper, expect lower standard. That said, the staff were excellent and work so hard in isolation, and I really mean that. One server who cooks, cleans and runs the bar at the same time. In the UK they would be paid a fortune. Be considerate and polite, which some guests were not, clearly expecting 5* service / food for 2* price! The hotel would do well to offer more staff in the area at busy times to assist the servers. As a guest, waits didn't bother me much. Pros; Staff work extremely hard Clean Mostly Quiet 3 balconies Cons Freezing Pools - but bearable Bed was awful - needs replacing immediately
