Ver welcoming staff loved the location in the city centre not far from amenities Very helpful staff . Nice clean hotel Room with excellent facilities again nice clean room happy to stay again on our next to Liverpool . Would recommend this hotel

Stopped off here for one night with family. (I should declare I am a Marriott Convoy member). On arrival our rooms were upgraded which was very kind, but not requested. The staff got us checked in promptly - I would have used mobile key, but for my elderly mother. We parked in the multi-storey car park adjacent ( paid for at the hotel prior to departure). The rooms were excellent, both roomy clean and comfortable, a very good standard indeed. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner but used the bar later where I spent a while chatting to the bar staff who were great, both the supervisor and the Barman ( who may have been called Herman, he was South American). We had a lovely time in the bar. After a great nights sleep we took breakfast int he restaurant, there was a wide selection of food and the omelette station was very welcome. We checked out in seconds and were on our way. I have nothing negative to say, it was a great hotel stay.

“Liudmyla was wonderful”

Liudmyla was amazing. She was helpful, knowledgeable and very kind to us! She changed our pillows quickly(I have allergies to feather pillows) We came for a Liverpool game. The walk to the stadium was not too far and we were able to see some of the city. Great trip, we will be back!

Hotel in great location beside station. Check in was busy but seamless and friendly. Night 1 - Went out on arrival night and we could not get back into hotel, room cards would not work on external fobs (well they do, light actually turns red before going green….that is the issue). To be fair reception guy came to the door to rescue us however this came across as an inconvenience to him and he put a few obstacles in our path to prove we were residents, his female colleague then started to become quite condescending ie its to keep you safe blah blah even tho she was not part of this being resolved. Day 2 - Room was warm and we put on in room A/C……had to turn off after a few minutes and the noise is unbearable, something needed maintained in the ducting. Night 2 Returned to hotel just after 1am as check in letter states Brew Bar is open until 3am, we thought we would grab a drink and order pizza from outside, reception guy from night before came into bar to inform us bar is closed, upon informing him of check in letter stating 3am was closing time he then went away to check only to come back to inform us bar is closed and you can buy a drink from mobile shop…..fair enough but limited choice, it’s not a bar and it’s not Brew Bar. Very very disappointed as we returned to the hotel to use the bar specifically on night 2 as town was just too rowdy. Breakfast- Decent choice and nice, chef on the eggs very friendly. We enquired about al la carte breakfast options as plenty of menus around and it look good however we had been informed on arrival for breakfast that breakfast is included in our rate and the al la carte does not apply, just buffet…..no option to buy or upsell to purchase which was strange. General - No still water available from mobile shop on both occasions we enquired……on first occasion the lady behind desk informed me it was cans of water and they are in fridge, I informed her there is none……she then made a bit of a patronising scene in such a way that I was not looking correctly and she would come over to show me, only for her to come over and show me and say ‘oh it looks like we don’t have any’. Hmmm. Customer is always right does not apply at this hotel, that is very evident. Observation - turn down the lift chime on the room floor lift lobbies, walls are paper thin and becomes very annoying. Would return for location however the detail in customer service lacks ever so noticeably. Will also inform Sportsbreaks.com of above as this was a very,very expensive trip and really expected more.
