This hotel is located in the heart of Haifa. The atmosphere is chill, lots of families. The rooms are very solid and clean, especially for the value. There was little to no noise around at night, slept extremely soundly after a long day of touring. The service was great, especially the people at the front desk, but it is definitely a plus to speak Hebrew. Didn't explore much of the amenities. Food was great at the included breakfast. Went on Chanukah and there was a communal lighting and sufganyot, very very nice. They let us store our bags for the day which was exactly what we needed after checking out so we could hike at Har HaCarmel.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Dan Panorama in Haifa. The hotel is in a great location and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms are comfortable, updated, and kept clean. In fact, the staff is great, especially Roi at reception who took excellent care of us and answered all questions patiently and graciously. We had both breakfast and dinner there and found the food well prepared and delicious. There isn't a decadent amount like you sometimes find at other hotels which we found to be just right. You don't need to choose between a gazillion salads, do you? This felt more elegant and comfortable. There was always something delicious to eat and the staff was always courteous and efficient. The hotel also provided us with free admissions to different activities, two which were right nearby. Lior Suchard had a show at the nearby Dan Carmel which was also amazing! We've stayed at the Dan Carmel in the past, but have to say that the Panorama doesn't fall short of its more expensive sister hotel. Would definitely stay again! Thank you Dan Panorama and the wonderful people who work there for a great stay!

“Pleasant enough, not fantastic”

My wife and I spent one night, including dinner and breakfast. Check-in was very fast and efficiant. Our 9th floor room was nice, but certainly not luxurious. Meals were good, although a hot drink after dinner would have been nice. The hotel is situated on the ridge of Mount Carmel, with great views of Haifa Bay in one direction and the Carmel ridge in the other. But both the hotel and the surrounding areas have known better days. The hotel itself is not run-down but feels tired, the furnature is old, the rooms are clean but could be cleaner. But the surrounding shopping center is run-down, and the parking under the hotel is run by an outside party, so that hotel guests do not have free parking (which no-one warns you in advance). So it was a pleasant stay, but not fantastic.

LOCATION: Location is excellent. There is a park across the street from the entrance and a street that has a beautiful view of the port behind the hotel, which is great for walking. There is a small shopping mall, including a pharmacy, next door. FOOD The food at the hotel's Carmel Restaurant was excellent and varied. I heard no complaints or groaning from any of the 200 people in my group of very senior Israeli citizens (a very unusual situation) and everyone I heard had only compliments to share. The restaurant staff did an excellent job of managing the seating and feeding of the different tour groups and individuals at the hotel. Kudos. SERVICE The hotel seamlessly provided our group organizers with the venues, equipment, beverages, and cooperation required for afternoon cake and coffee and two evening events, including our New Year's Eve celebration. Again, no complaining once the heating was turned on in the event hall. No complaints about room service either. My room was clean. ROOMS My room 511 was definitely adequate but not overly spacious. As there is a connecting door to the next room, it may be part of family arrangement. I could hear the TV and some speech from my neighbors but the noise was not strong. The view of the port was beautiful, particularly at night when the homes leading to the port sparkled with lights. The room has a tub, which is less suitable for my age group. You might want to ask for a room with a shower if that is what you prefer or require. We did not. BOTTOM LINE: I reccomend this hotel. Check out the rooms and floors before you contact the hotel so they know what specifications are important to you.
