We have just returned from a fantastic trip to Prague and stayed at the Hotel Galileo . Great Hotel , lovely staff . breakfast was good . The bar was quirky but really reasonable in terms of price. The Hotel is in an excellent location . Near to tram and Metro . I would recommend buying the 72 hour Transport Ticket , it costs about £10 and you can use it for 3 days on all public Trams , buses and Metro, even from the Airport We stayed in room 412 , a new block, refurbished and really spacious. The only reason I have given 4 Stars rather than 5 is the Free Airport Transfer was not really available or advertised.not sure . But I would totally recommend the Hotel Galileo

“Pleasant clean hotel”

Hotel was clean, bedrooms was a large size, plenty of storage space in the room , separate shower room, good shower. Hotel was clean, bedrooms was a large size, plenty of storage space in the room , separate shower room, good shower. Tea & coffee and a fridge in the room.Quick and easy check in by friendly reception staff . Breakfast was Ok, continental and hot breakfast available. The only thing was that the fruit ie banana, orange was peeled and sliced and portions were left out , would prefer a whole banana or orange in its skin. 20min walk to Wenceslas square from hotel . Supermarkets just outside hotel and a couple of restaurants which we didn’t try ,

Good price, but we would not rate this hotel as 4 star accommodation. Our room was in the older part of the hotel and was large but rather dated. We stayed 4 nights, on one of the days we did not receive a room clean and had to ask for toilet rolls and coffee replenishing. We were told you must... more

Good price, but we would not rate this hotel as 4 star accommodation. Our room was in the older part of the hotel and was large but rather dated. We stayed 4 nights, on one of the days we did not receive a room clean and had to ask for toilet rolls and coffee replenishing. We were told you must put your sign on the door in order for cleaning . This has never been the case in other 4 star accommodation we have stayed, and didn't prevent room cleaning on the other days! Breakfast was adequate. There was not a good fruit selection (apples and oranges only) as the fruit seen on other photos was not replenished. The staff at breakfast need to smile and be more pleasant to guests, which would be a more welcoming feel. The reception staff were helpful. We left luggage on our last day until our flight, which was beneficial. We enjoyed the local restaurants and bars which are handy following long days in the city. Prague is lovely and overall we had a lovely holiday.
