We had another lovely stay at this hotel, and it continues to be one of our favourites. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly, and the information provided was really helpful. Our room was beautiful, and we especially loved the balcony—it made such a difference to the overall experience. The robes provided for the pool are so comfortable; we really enjoy being able to walk down to the facilities, relax, and then head back to the room to shower. The spa facilities, especially with the recent upgrades, are absolutely out of this world—we loved every moment there. Breakfast was also excellent: a great selection, delicious food, and very helpful staff. One small issue in the room was the lack of decaf coffee. We did request more, and although it took around three hours to arrive, it was appreciated when it did. Our main disappointment this time was the executive lounge. We’ve used this same lounge for the past three years, and each year it seems quite different. On this visit, the fridges were empty and the overall selection was very limited. The waitress was helpful and happy to bring items on request, but it was quite a slow process. The food offering felt minimal—fish fingers, spring rolls, peppers, carrots with hummus, and some fruit that only appeared towards the end. It would have been nice to see more variety, such as crisps, nuts, sausage rolls, crackers, and cheeses—more “picky” options. The lounge was also quite busy, and the drinks selection was very poor compared to previous visits. Despite this, we still love this hotel and always enjoy our stays here. We’ll definitely be back.

Second stay at St George's this year. Lovely hotel (even if not into football, even better if you are!). Stayed one night for wife's birthday with two children. Nice touch for staff to leave a birthday message, cake and drinks voucher in the room. Room was lovely and would recommend the junior suite for a family of 4 want extra space. Restaurant food was good and service spot on. Pool is very family friendly. The executive lounge is good with nice snacks and drinks included, a bonus as not many hiltons in the UK have them. For the price it's up there with some of the nicest hiltons I've been in the UK. Will be staying again.

Valentines stay. We was looking for a hotel with a pool , somewhere with family swim time . My expectations of this hotel was probably 6-7/10. In reality it was more like 9.5/10! The hotel itself felt like it was set up as a 5* hotel in places , the staff were quite welcoming , I really think the lady who took our bags to our room name was Jennifer ?? But I can’t remember , so was lovely and kind . Tbh the reception staff felt like we were at a 5* resort . Very friendly helpful and welcoming . So thank you . The pool/gym area lovely. Ben who works at the leisure aspect was very friendly , we ran into some issues with family changing and padlocks not working and Ben was very friendly and prompt in helping us resolve our issues . So 10/10 for him . On the notes we requested a room on a higher floor and with a countrywide view . Our room given was a ground floor with courtyard view . Fair enough , we asked if we could be moved , and we was just move opposite so we had a really nice view. The Starbucks area was great , we really enjoyed the wraps and coffee for lunch time. We also had breakfast , a bit of the pricey side, around £16 per person the veggie sausages were t great at all . I would say the olives were amazing . But overall the breakfast wasn’t really worth it . Premier inn for £10 is much better (sorry) Overall , if you’re thinking of staying at this hotel , either for just a relaxing break away or if you are a football / England football fan , I would 100% recommend it . The grounds are lovely . The hotel is really lovely . For something like £120 or whatever it was for the night , the value in my opinion was class! I even googled and wonder how it’s not a 5* hotel! We didn’t eat dinner as we felt we didn’t know enough about what they served , I struggled to find a menu in advance , so we booked a restaurant in burton centre for the evening . Very good experience at a hotel I’ve stayed at regularly. Reception staff were professional, helpful and efficient; room was clean and food service in bar was quick despite it being a busy evening. Breakfast menu is always excellent; Sports channels on the TVs in room and well equipped gym. Rooms are slightly dated now and repair work going on in swimming pool area but generally a very positive stay - highly recommend.
