Split is one of those cities whose history is worthy of a movie plot. In fact, the opulent Diocletian's Palace, the amazing complex declared a World Heritage Site, has been one of the main locations for the blockbusting TV series Game of Thrones. We'll round off our trip by touring the graceful island of Hvar, a natural paradise famous throughout Europe for its chic and exclusive atmosphere. Driving around Hvar is a real treat. Its 2,700 hours of sunshine a year, its beach clubs frequented by artists and celebrities, its white pebble beaches and pristine waters, its dense lavender-blanketed landscapes, its views out to an azure sea dotted with luxury yachts... all make it a truly unforgettable place. From Split, you can go on interesting trips to the ancient pirate town of Omiš, the ruins of Salona (Solin), or the charming medieval town of Trogir. Nature lovers will find a haven in the Krka National Park (trip from Split) or the idyllic Pakleni Islands (trip from Hvar).

Important remarks
- Driving through Croatia: Motorways in Croatia have tolls, which you have to pay for each individual stretch of road. For more information, you can contact the Croatian Embassy based in your country.
- Triple rooms in Europe are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.
- The proposed excursions and tours for each day are purely suggestions, as you can tailor the trip to suit your times, tastes and needs.
- A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.
- Hotels usually have cots available. Otherwise, babies will have to share a bed with an adult.
- To pick up your rental car, you'll need a credit (not debit) card in the name of the person who made the booking, who must also be the named driver of the vehicle.
