This place is a little slice of paradise. The resort is immaculately kept with gardening going on daily (nothing that disturbs the peace). The staff are all amazing, polite and helpful. Theo had an amazing smile every morning at breakfast. There was no rushing at 5am to put towels on loungers aa there are several areas to settle for the day. Our favourite was 'Lovers beach' with water activities like kayaking and catamarans with 'Captain G' who will teach you or take you out. Food is amazing the variety was plentiful. Sails and tails was a beautiful place to eat with amazing seafood, but there are plenty other places as well. Cocktails oh wow, the best cocktails I've tasted Leon made an incredible Amaretto sour and André entertained whilst shaking cocktails so the evening were full of fun and laughter. A few must do's are a day trip out on the 'Calypso Cat' just beware of the Bam bam hurricanes! 😂 Also Stingray City what an experience holding and feeding the stingrays. The resort even had a pink beach party which was brilliant, I felt like a celebrity. Ican't wait to return to this place and I will, as it was truly breathtaking.

During our recent stay at The Verandah Antigua was a mix of disappointments and wonderful experiences. July 2026 Unfortunately, our room was located far from the main beach, restaurants, and evening entertainment. Because the resort is quite hilly, we often needed a shuttle to get around. Unfortunately, the phone in our room rarely worked, which meant we often had to walk to request transportation. The food was average, and we found the reception staff to be somewhat moody and not as warm or welcoming as we had hoped. The highlight of our vacation was, without a doubt, Lovers Beach and the incredible staff who worked there. They completely changed our experience, and I want to recognize them for the outstanding hospitality they showed every single day. They deserve a 5 star! A special thank you to Jensen, who greeted everyone with genuine enthusiasm and made guests feel welcome from the moment they arrived at the beach. He not only ensured everyone felt safe while enjoying the water activities, but he also provided sail boat rides, while telling stories about the island making each experience both fun and memorable. His professionalism, positive attitude, engaging personality, and genuine care for guests set the tone for an enjoyable day at the beach. Be sure to visit this area and partake in all the water toys! Jensen and the guys will ensure a great time snorkeling, and kayaking as well as guide you as to what areas to go for the best experience. Judith, who worked tirelessly behind the beach bar, was equally impressive. Even when the bar was busy, she served drinks quickly and always with a warm smile and kind attitude. I also want to recognize Tristen, Garth, Andre, and Leon. Whether they were transporting guests around the resort or serving drinks at the poolside bar, each of them went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. They shared stories about Antiguan culture, took time to engage with guests, kept everyone laughing, and created an atmosphere that made us look forward to seeing them every day. Their friendliness, genuine kindness, and pride in their work made a lasting impression and were a big part of what made our vacation enjoyable. While some aspects of the resort fell short of our expectations, these team members above truly represented what hospitality should be. Their kindness, energy, and genuine care turned what could have been a disappointing vacation into one filled with great memories. Jensen, They are a tremendous asset to The Verandah Antigua and deserve to be recognized for the exceptional service they provide. We sincerely hope management recognizes the positive impact these individuals had on the guest experience because they are the reason we left with wonderful memories of Antigua.

We stayed at The Verandah for 11 nights in July which is off season in Antigua. The ride from the airport was 30 mins and we were met at reception with a welcome drink and wet flannel which was lovely after a long flight. Check in was quick and then Garth took us on a tour of the property to help us get our bearings. The hotel is stunning. Gardens are immaculate and the location is amazing with double aspect views. Our waterview suite was fantastic. The view over Rasta beach and Long Bay beyond was so beautiful. The room was huge with a really big wardrobe, drawer space, bathroom and beds. Plenty of storage space and I loved the huge shower. Since it was off season not all restaurant options were available every night but the reception team had booked us into one of the à la carte restaurants for our first evening. The food quality in all of the à la restaurants was excellent. It was just a shame that they weren’t all open every night as I feel that if I’d visited in high season my experience would have been so much better. I wasn’t impressed by the evening buffets and found the food to be luke warm. If you didn’t like the theme of the buffet then there weren’t many other options to choose from. However, the breakfast buffet was excellent. The quality of the drinks was also excellent, the wine in particular was really good. Lunch options were good. Sails and tales was open at the beginning of our stay although then closed for renovations. The menu choice was great and so it was disappointing that the restaurant then closed at lunchtime for the remainder of our stay. The service at the bars and restaurants was generally good. The resort was super quiet during our stay which my family liked although I could imagine it being too quiet for some people. The entertainment team put in activities in the evenings although the daytime schedule was hit and miss. The jazz band was fantastic along with the steel band. I wasn’t a fan of the silent disco or games night but there was always the option of the Wavy Wicket which showed sports games and served bar snacks. Our family was a fan of the nachos! We booked our excursions through the hotel along with a cab into st johns. It was nice to get out and about and see what Antigua had to offer. The other thing to mention that I hadn’t seen covered by many reviews was the availability and of the shower rooms pre departure. We didn’t think it was worth paying for a late check out and so we used the shower rooms near reception. These are free of charge and were excellent with plenty of towels, toiletries, hairdryer and even an iron and ironing board. All in all we had a great time at the resort. Although if I visited again I would probably go in high season. Shout out to Garth who does such a fab job on the shuttles, always loved our conversations. Great service in the bars from Andre, Leon and Devante. All an absolute credit to the resort. Thank you team Verandah

“Amazing Staff”

We stayed at The Verandah for the last week! They have the FRIENDLIEST STAFF!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here. All of the pools are very nice but the infinity pool is top tier. We stayed at The Verandah for the last week! They have the FRIENDLIEST STAFF!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here. All of the pools are very nice but the infinity pool is top tier. The food for it being an all inclusive was really good! Tanya at the coffee shop made the best coffee every morning for us! The only downside of this resort are the beaches as we felt they weren’t great compared to other places we’ve been. Long Bay Beach around the corner was beautiful! We had a lot of fun doing the Stingray City excursion. We’d definitely return! Shoutout to: Andre, Leon, Theo, Devante, Quianna, Devon, Leandra, Milton, and Kerrina! You all deserve a raise and will be missed 🫶🏻
