“Great hotel”

Great hotel to visit Bogota when you are there for a short stay. Close to the airport and from the old center as well. Great transport to the airport

I stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in Bogotá for a month and had an overall great experience. The hotel is very clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional, although English is only spoken at the reception desk. Breakfast is at a satisfactory level with a decent variety of options. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, which was important for me during my stay. While the hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, I would say it’s somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Some details in the rooms are slightly worn out and could use an update, but that didn’t take away from my overall positive impression. The laundry service works well and was very convenient, but I would recommend that the staff pay closer attention to washing instructions. A few of my clothes shrank due to being washed at incorrect temperatures. All in all, I would rate my stay 4.5 out of 5. I had a fantastic time and would gladly return.

Was working in bogota and needed to be fairly close to coferias center. In paper this hotel is close - with bogota traffic not so much. Not Windham’s fault! The hotel is by no means a 5 star - sorry maybe 3-3.5 based on region. The hotel is clean, a bit outdated but comfortable. I had executive room - pretty basic had fridge, coffee maker outdated furnishings. My fav was coffee - each day the maid would leave less - 1 coffee pack then by day 2 no creamer powder and by day 3 no anything! The coffee table in the room was hysterical. Literally 3 inches from the ground. Maybe good if you’re sitting on the floor but no way you can sit on chair or couch and use it. The blackout window shade edges were ripped. My view was of the embassy next door which was fine but there is a lot of street noise between sirens, beeping horns and many many motorcycles. If you’re a tourist this location wouldn’t be my choice. The bathroom was nice and had enough room. Hot water took 15 mins to get warm and you get two very rough poor bath towels and one hand towel in the bathroom. Very basic. Minimal amenities and a tiny box of tissues which stopped being replaced by day 3 … maybe a hint between the coffee service and tissues it was my time to leave! The housekeeping service was punctual and cleaned room well. Let’s talk breakfast which is always important to me. The breakfast was buffet in the basement. There was one main room with the food and a couple other overflow rooms. Looked like meeting rooms - not very inviting. The breakfast was pretty standard and the items like eggs and pancakes were never hot - everything was cold to warm despite a sterno underneath. Food was ok- nothing great but it was replenished and there were more than enough crew to keep things running. The bed and pillows were comfortable so a big plus. Room service was extremely reasonable. In fact was cheaper than the subway sandwich store next door! So that’s a plus. All in all my stay was fine and these negative notes are only because the hotel bills itself as 5 star. If they said 3-3.5 star I would be better with my stay. I just expected more from Wyndham.
