I chose this hotel because it was very close to where my mom lives (like 8 blocks away). My wife and I stayed in this hotel between Feb 10 to 27 for 16 nights. I really enjoy the way hotel workers treated me anywhere in the hotel: in the halls, dining room on first floor. These workers were often eager to help me with anything they could. I was frequently asking the receptionist questions about activities in Bogota, water to drink, plates to use, transportation questions, fees for making cell phone calls, etc Initially we slept one night on second floor, but after hearing some sounds from the kitchen at 6 am (which is when the kitchen start working every day), I asked to be relocated on top floors and they gave us the chance to stay on 5 floor. Then we could not hear the kitchen sounds. This aparta-studio had a super good view: we could browsed the entire downtown area plus the eastern mountains such as Monserrate and Guadalupe. It was really wonderful view. This aparta-studio had 2 restrooms and half kitchen with a big fridge with freezer, 4 burner stove, microwave, zinc to wash dishes. All these appliances were working very well and because we knew we were cooking some of the meals, we asked the staff for pots and pans, some silverware, etc and they provided all that with no extra cost. Also we had an iron and a table to iron. Very useful. The bed had a firm mattress with clean bed sheets and nice firm 4 pillows. The only thing was size (i am 6'1"), but i manage. The firm mattress was a big plus for me and my sensitive low back. Also we had 2 side lamps to read or illuminate near by the bed. WiFi worked very well most of the days inside the hotel. Electricity worked fine every day, so the elevator was always ready to move us up and down. Cable TV worked ok every day. There was very hot water to shower every single day and night. On the first floor there was a big water container that filtered water to drink, and i used it every day because i need to drink 2 liters aday per doctor's orders. This aparta-studio had a elliptical machine and my wife was taking advantage of it often. Also the staff was asking us every day if we need some cleaning inside aparta-studio, so we felt we had a choice to allow staff to clean or not. During the first day on 5th floor, we could smell some cigarette smoke. Cleaning worker explained last guest was a heavy smoker and it appears he was using a removable surface in the restroom ceiling to smoke. After few hours of letting the windows and door open along with some spraying inside took care of it. Overnights we could hear some dogs barking and some of the traffic, but when wearing ear plugs we could sleep better with out hearing these sounds too much. We felt safe walking day or night around and out side the hotel because we were walking back and forth between the hotel and my mom's house and we could tell it was safe. We had a safe inside the closet in the aparta-studio to keep valuables (included in price). We did not go to the USA embassy nor to Corferias, but we took taxis and public transportation from streets close to hotel and it went fine. There are many taxis near by because Corferias seems to be so popular lately that taxis drivers know it and drive around often. I like to recommend this hotel because its safety and very helpful staff. We were very happy during our stay in this hotel and we like to appreciate all the hotel staff for helping us to have a very pleasant 2 and a half weeks, Javier
