“Mini get away”

Highly recommend this hotel, the breakfast buffet each morning was amazing, the dinners at the restaurant were also very good, the drinks and food from the pool were also very good. Loved the tropical feel of the grounds and private mini jacuzzis, the mini trail on the grounds was an added bonus.

We had such a lovely stay at Casa Luna Hotel & Spa in La Fortuna—three of us travelling together from Canada, and it ended up being one of those places you’re genuinely sad to leave. The grounds are absolutely stunning. Everywhere you look there are lush tropical plants, vibrant flowers, and winding little paths that make it feel like you’re tucked right into the rainforest. One of the highlights was when the staff told us about a sloth living in the trees near room 210—we went to see it, and it truly was a sight to behold. Such a special reminder of how close you are to nature here. The pool area was one of our favourite spots—large, peaceful, with a waterfall feature and surrounded by greenery. The hot tubs were perfect after a day of exploring, and we loved that there was a snack bar right there for drinks and light bites. It made it so easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The main restaurant was also excellent—everything we had was fresh and flavourful. Breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. There was a good variety, fresh juices, plenty of coffee, and lots of options without feeling overwhelming—just really well done. We also treated ourselves to a spa package, and it was truly a highlight. The massage area is open to the rainforest, so you’re completely immersed in the natural surroundings—the sounds, rain, the breezy air, everything. It felt incredibly peaceful. The aromatherapy added a beautiful, calming touch, and the facials were just as enjoyable. Everything was very clean and well organized, with fresh bathrobes provided, and ending the experience with a small glass of wine made it feel like a perfect little escape. The location is ideal—close enough to town and attractions like La Fortuna Waterfall, but far enough away to feel quiet and immersed in nature. The hotel was also very helpful in arranging excellent shuttle services for us when needed—the drivers were amazing and everything felt easy and reliable. What really stood out overall was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Everyone we interacted with was kind, helpful, and made the entire stay feel effortless. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled stay with great amenities and a relaxed vibe, Casa Luna is a beautiful choice. We truly enjoyed every moment!

This hotel is an oasis ticked in off a quiet little road. The plush greenery and beautiful grounds make you feel like you are in paradise. Rooms are spacious and the view of Arenal volcano are amazing. The daily breakfast buffet is top notch and even offered an omelet bar. The pool was refreshing, and the breakout hot tubs are fabulous for extra privacy. There is a trail sold the back side of the property that backs up to s river and there is several types of wildlife present. There is a bar at the pool also. This hotel is wonderful.

* Great value for the price, including a delicious breakfast. Not overly expensive like many other options. * The property is absolutely beautiful—lush gardens just like the photos. You can hear howler monkeys around, which makes the experience feel truly immersive. * The spa was incredible. I had a massage in a semi-open space where no music was needed—the sound of the river, monkeys, leaves, and wind made it one of the best massage experiences I’ve ever had. * The food was consistently delicious, with enough variety each day. * The staff was kind and professional. They even changed my room last minute to a first-floor option at no extra cost. * The pool is great, but the outdoor jacuzzis were our favorite—we went every night. My child loved the warm water! * There’s a small hiking trail on the property with a creek—such a nice touch. * We saw so much wildlife: frogs, beautiful birds, lizards, eagles, tons of hummingbirds, and howler monkeys both near and far. Loved it! * The location is perfect—everything is close and easy to access. There’s also a delicious local spot nearby called Soda Tita (or something similar). We would absolutely stay here again. It was a peaceful, beautiful, and authentic experience.
