Guests & Entertainment: A large majority of the guests were locals, and most activities and entertainment were conducted entirely in Spanish. While I never felt unwelcome—the staff and other guests were friendly and kind—it made it difficult to participate in many of the scheduled activities if you don’t speak Spanish. Food – 9/10: The food was one of the highlights of our stay. The nightly buffet featured a different theme each evening, and everything we tried was very good. My favorite was the Asian-themed night. Drinks – 5/10: The cocktails tasted good, but the alcohol seemed very diluted, so they weren’t particularly strong. Location – 0/10: The location was the biggest disappointment. The beach directly at the resort wasn’t suitable for swimming or relaxing, and the nearest swimmable beaches were about an hour away. There also wasn’t anything within walking distance, such as shops, restaurants, or a downtown area. If you don’t speak Spanish and aren’t planning excursions, there isn’t much to do besides spending time in the pool. Resort Excursion – 0/10: We booked the aerial tram excursion through the resort for $450 for two people. Transportation was provided in someone’s personal vehicle rather than a tour van, which felt unprofessional for the price. The excursion also included a brief drive through Jacó and a stop at the crocodile bridge viewpoint, both of which are free attractions. Overall, we didn’t feel the experience justified the cost. The rooms were also outdated and you can expect creepy crawly bugs in your room.

I will rate this resort 3. Nice layout but improvements are needed. The main restaurant needs more management. Several occasions I saw flies on the food, meat etc. There are lack of hotel personnel at varies food station thus people are cross contaminating the food when helping them selves. I sense the restaurant is not swept at the end of the day because being first at breakfast you will see food crumbs on the floor etc. The labels on the food in not accurate all the time, because a dish with beans and meat are labelled beans. You got to be careful. The premium rooms need a face lift- painting and cleaner corridors. The pools are spread out, nice depth and drinks are well mixed. Excellent facility for relaxation. The beach is not really for bathing. Staff are generally courteous.

Fiesta Resort All-Inclusive in Costa Rica offers good value for the price. All-inclusive resorts can be expensive, but this property provides a lot for the money. We stayed in the premium building in Room 3120. The room was decent, comfortable, and met our needs. However, construction was underway during our stay, and the smell of paint fumes was very strong at night. The pools were excellent, and the evening events were good. The buffet restaurant served good food—especially considering the price—and the reservation-only restaurants were also very solid. The staff was hit or miss. Some employees were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, while others seemed disinterested, crass, or occasionally rude. The resort is clearly a popular destination among Costa Rican families and Spanish-speaking guests, giving it a lively, local atmosphere. Very little English speaking staff. The beach was the biggest disappointment. If you are expecting clear blue water and pristine white sand, this is not the place. The water was rough, the sand was dark and volcanic, and a significant amount of trash had washed ashore outside the maintained hotel property. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable all-inclusive vacation with good food, excellent pools, enjoyable entertainment, and acceptable accommodations, Fiesta Resort is a good value. If your priorities are a pristine beach, luxury pampering, and consistently outstanding service, this may not be the right resort for you. P.S. The spa provides an excellent massage and facial!
