A super luxury 4 bedroom apt., with all amenities, free wifi, a well equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, a cute alcove for quiet time, one bedroom in the loft, large family room and dining space, definitely makes this apartment a great place to party, chill, relax and for quiet solitude after a full day. Good for 8-10 people. Aptly named Rembrandt, its a feast for the mind and body! Its located in the old city, so you can meander through the old town at your own pace. No meals here. Naturally! As you can cook your own! There are umpteen restaurants all around, offering the full range of international cuisines. Breakfast is linked with a restaurant at a discount of 10%. And the beach is a 7-8 mins. walk only. Soak in the sun, soak in the ambiance of the old town, soak in the panoramic views via cable car and finally soak in the comfort of the beds for a restful sleep !!

“Pleasant stay in the old city”

We spent two nights in the apartment in the attic. Clean spacious apartment. Watch out for the beams in the attic!. Not for the faint hearted of those with weak knees legs as you have to lug your baggage up the stairs, in our case 3 flights. Also we were not aware that there are no vehicles allowed… more

We spent two nights in the apartment in the attic. Clean spacious apartment. Watch out for the beams in the attic!. Not for the faint hearted of those with weak knees legs as you have to lug your baggage up the stairs, in our case 3 flights. Also we were not aware that there are no vehicles allowed inside the fort, except service vehicles in the early morning (perhaps late night too). So every one has to arrive at the gates and carry their luggage to their lodgings. Understably, self interest driven, they don't tell you all this. There are no elevators or escalators anywhere inside the old fort (or is there just two?). So be prepared to carry all your belongings. We appreciated the the welcome goodies. But the reception needs to be manned more , just 2 hours midday is not convenient for tourists, and expect to be paid in cash is just too much. No instructions left how to contact owners / manager, how to vacate etc. A hot line phone af the reception that connects to someone is suggested. However when we eventually made contact Andrea was helpful and took payment out of credit card on record. No other issue. All is well that ends well.

We loved the location in the heart of Old Town but be warned, there is no one to meet you at the apartment and you will need to collect your key from another hotel. We loved the location in the heart of Old Town but be warned, there is no one to meet you at the apartment and you will need to collect your key from another hotel. There is also no elevator so the climb with heavy cases was exhausting. The apartment was clean and spacious but not luxuriously appointed. Bedding was poor and towels were small and stiff. No one checked in on us during our stay. It is next to an Irish pub which is open til the wee hours of the morning and the music is LOUD so take some earplugs.
