Just back from a gorgeous 10nights at this lovely hotel. We came on a package with Jet2 but the guests were varied with some only coming for a few days or bookending their cruise. Location was perfect. We loved the harbour and strolling down to Sunset beach. Easy to walk into the old town as well with a handy bus route if you need it. We ate at the hotel so can’t comment on restaurants but found many fab bars nearby. Breakfast was great and there was enough choice in the evenings. Pool can get busy but we never really struggled and the garden space was always there if needed. What made this hotel so wonderful though was the staff. Everyone was so welcome and friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Hotel Lapad 😊

This hotel was first class. All the staff we dealt with were excellent and helpful. The location was fabulous and a 10 minute walk from Sunset Beach. The atmosphere in the hotel was very chilled and the rooms were clean and spacious. We ate in the hotel one night and this was a buffet. Food was enjoyable. There is also a few restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel which we ate jn and they were very good. Breakfast was good and had a great selection. The pool was good and was great at the end of a hot day. Beds at the pool can get busy and is on a first come basis, but there is another spot behind the wall to relax on a bed. The location of this hotel means noise levels were non existent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if I come back this is the first place I would look. It is half an hour from the airport.

Not long home from 10 days at this hotel, we decided it definitely has the city break feel to it. Great location in easy walking distance from restaurants, shops and a few bars. Right on the marina so a beautiful view from the balcony. We had a side sea view room on the 6th floor, good size, very comfy bed, ample storage space, the shower pressure was ok but not great, hairdryer was good if very hot for my fine long hair but possibly take your own. Towels changed daily and rooms kept clean. Good sized kettle with nice big cups for early morning coffee/tea, replenished daily. We stayed half board and the breakfast was great, everything you could want hot and cold plus a nice glass of fizz, definitely the best for food options. The evening meal was ‘ok’ and served a purpose but the restaurant could be so quiet with hardly anyone there at times we did eat out on a number of occasions, so in hindsight we could really have stayed b&b. In our opinion the drinks prices at the hotel were actually on par with everywhere outside apart from the supermarkets which we did go to and fitted 2 litre bottles of wine and a litre of water in the little room fridge😂 so it is possible! Yes the balcony is tiny but fitting with the boutique style of the hotel and we had no problem sitting out there with a drink and the lovely views… every opinion is personal eh? If we had a day at the hotel we got beds in the garden area as sadly I’ve never witnessed such an awful near on fight over sunbeds by 2 couples around the pool which pretty much put me off even trying for a bed poolside!! This hotel has a really high turnover of guests from all over the world giving it the city break feel. Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend staying here if you want somewhere near Dubrovnik🇭🇷

We stayed at Hotel Lapad for a week and came away feeling that it was a decent hotel, but nothing particularly special. The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. There was a great selection each morning, the quality was very good, and the complimentary Prosecco was a lovely touch that made breakfast feel a little more indulgent. Unfortunately, the rooms were much smaller than expected. The fridge was tiny, which made it difficult to keep drinks and snacks chilled, and there were no self catering facilities at all. The balconies were also ridiculously small. Two people would struggle to use them comfortably, there was no table, and they felt more like somewhere to stand briefly rather than somewhere to relax. This became more frustrating because drinks at the hotel were expensive. We were spending around €60 per night on drinks alone. Had we been given a decent sized fridge and a usable balcony, we would happily have bought drinks from a local supermarket and enjoyed them in the room, saving a considerable amount of money. To be fair, that is not entirely the hotel's fault. Dubrovnik itself is astonishingly expensive. It ended up being the most expensive holiday we have ever taken in Europe and, by the end of the trip, we were fed up with constantly feeling ripped off. In many cases, prices felt higher than London, which genuinely surprised us. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. However, the very small rooms, tiny balconies and overall cost of staying there mean we would describe it as good rather than great.
