“Beautiful seaview”

I arrived on my 50th Birthday, had requested a Seaview room and hit the jackpot! Room 408, the view is stunning. My only gripe with the hotel was that is was hot the first 3 days I was there and when I inquired about the air-conditioning not working was told not til the 1st of May. I understand the whole hotel might not be feeling the heat bus as a Brit who thinks it's tropical when it hits 20, You could offer a fan. I didn't sleep the first night. Also as a short person I had to take a run and jump to get into the bath, get rid of it and pop a shower in instead. Staff were great, food was okay. Taxi to old town was roughly 20 euros or the bus outside was 2.50. Will be returning

Uvala Hotel was a smallish hotel in a quiet area but a few bars restaurants and a couple of shops bus stopped outside no4 very convenient to old town Gorgeous view everyday from the front off the hotel but we had a room at the back that said park view more rocks and trees was very disappointed with the view ask to change but fully booked Hotel was very clean beds was really comfortable food was good always found plenty to eat as we was half board. Spa area was really nice indoor pool jacuzzi sauna. Treatment’s were good abit on the pricey side for treatments. Facial 77€ The waiter staff in restaurant was very friendly the reception staff was quite abrupt I thought everytime I ask some I just got no were full not very helpful.

“3 Star at best”

The hotel is well situated with views over the bay & easy access to the old town via no 4 bus which is a plus. The hotel is well situated with views over the bay & easy access to the old town via no 4 bus which is a plus. Rooms are clean, bathroom with a high shower over the bath are clearly built for taller people - no bath mats provided, which seems odd. Rooms are dated but have enough storage etc so not bad just no wow factor. We did have a sea view with balcony. No air conditioning available though it was beyond May 1st. Food - breakfast was better than the evening- nothing wrong, just not very interesting! Bar - hit and miss service, I don’t expect to be asked if I need a glass when I order a drink (ice / lemon seemed an inconvenience), no knowledge of their own wine list and a complete lack of interest in finding out anything. Bar closed earlier than advertised without asking guests using it if they wanted another drink - lack of service & revenue! Construction work is going on next door as mentioned- complete lack of health & safety so I’d think twice before you use the pool area as there’s a crane overhead with very dodgy manoeuvres including swinging skips. Reception staff uninterested and unhelpful… we wanted some help re our transfers, didn’t get any help, felt like we were annoying them by asking. When we left, we were asked about our stay we said it was ok…. The response was “just ok?” Which we confirmed but no interest in establishing why we thought it was only ok. Good base for exploring but if you want a great hotel this isn’t it.
