The location is simply superb and can’t get enough of jumping into the Adriatic see from the steps of the hotel into the sea. The staff are very welcoming. Highlight was Chef Ravindran’s personalised attention to make a dinner very special for our families. Looking forward to being back here soon.

“An Excellent Hotel All Round”

My wife and I spent 11 wonderful nights at the Rixos Premium Hotel in Dubrovnik.  So what did we like about our stay? 1. Superb location: The hotel is situated in a quiet location about a 20 minute walk along a scenic undulating coastal route to Pile Gate, the entrance to Dubrovnik's old town. The nearest supermarket is less than a 5 minute walk away. 2. Excellent front desk personnel: check in and check out were very pleasant experiences and we were made to feel like valued guests.  3. Lovely room: we had booked a Superior Double sea view room and were allocated one on the 2nd floor. The good sized balcony, with a very good view of the coastline and the sea, was an excellent suntrap from morning until mid afternoon. The room was also a good size, very quiet, pleasantly furnished and thoughtfully designed to provide plenty of storage as well as an illusion of space.  The bedding was good quality and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept on. 4. Excellent housekeeping standards: Housekeeping standards were very high but what impressed us most was that they routinely serviced the room while we were at breakfast so we weren't inconvenienced at all. We've stayed in a lot of luxury hotels over the years and this is the first time that we've come across this practice in a hotel though in our experience it is common on cruise liners.   5. Outstanding evening meals: we dined in the hotel's buffet restaurant on the 20th floor every night of our stay and enjoyed our experience there very much. This was because of the wonderful views as well as the top quality of the meal. The range of food on offer was absolutely superb and our compliments to the chef, Revindra Mangarathil, who demonstrated the highest standards of hospitality and respect towards us. Our thanks also to Mehmet Ali (the restaurant manager); to Ekaterina (the restaurant's meeter/greeter) and to Rose, Katie, Sachin and Serene (servers) who made us feel very welcome.   6. Good breakfasts: we were impressed with the variety of fruit, breads and pastries available at the buffet breakfast. Also, hot food, including eggs prepared in a variety of styles, continental style sausages, bacon, mushrooms and pancakes, was plentiful and well cooked. We had no trouble finding a table even when the hotel was full. There was a pianist playing live most mornings which for us made for a nice start to the day.    7. Nice swimming pools: the 2 swimming pools were both a reasonable size rather than large. The outdoor pool was busy most the time but the indoor pool was a lot quieter and ideal for people wanting to swim. What could have been better?  1. Insufficient sun loungers: there are lots of sun loungers on the sunbathing terraces but on the days when the hotel was busy, people started reserving them early so there were none available when we were ready to use them. We could have done the same but I object to this practice in principle so we had to take our chances. Unfortunately we weren't able to lie in the sun on those days. 2. Wifi shortcomings: wifi reception in the bedroom became less reliable when the hotel became busy and was random on the balcony throughout our stay. 3. Aircraft noise: the hotel is almost directly below the flight path for aircraft on approach to the local airport. There is therefore some aircraft noise by the pool and on the balcony of the seaview rooms though only people with sensitive hearing are likely to be overly troubled by it. Any noise is barely discernible in the bedroom because of good soundproofing. 4. Coffee service at breakfast: we occasionally had trouble being served coffee at breakfast though it was on most days very fast.  Would we recommend the Rixos Premium Hotel Dubrovnik? The answer is a resounding yes. Put briefly, this is a classy hotel with high standards of comfort and hospitality situated in a very convenient location. We will definitely stay again if we were to make another visit to Dubrovnik.

We had a fantastic stay at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. We had high expectations that were exceeded. The hotel was impressive - plenty of space and amenities and clean. The views are stunning - whether enjoying breakfast at the main restaurant, from various lounge areas, hotel room balcony (we had sea view), or sunbathing near the pool. Our room was spacious and clean with comfy king size bed, nice sized bathroom with bath and shower, and a decent balcony where we could enjoy that magnificent view. We enjoyed a nice meal at the Greek restaurant where we were treated to Greek dancing and smashing plates! The staff were great - very courteous, helpful and good company (Denis, Mauricio and many others). We played tennis organised through the hotel (a 2 minute walk away) - the coach was great, as was the club that was hosting a junior ITF event - fortunately the fans didn't stay on to watch us embarrass ourselves! A comfortable 20 minute walk to Dubrovnik Old Town - which is a beautiful medieval city. We caught the bus/taxi back. In summary a fantastic stay - we hope to return next year!

“Amazing”

Just arrived back from staying at this amazing hotel. Couldn't fault it at all. The room was lovely and big and cleaners came in every day. We tried out the Greek restaurant and had the best time. Just arrived back from staying at this amazing hotel. Couldn't fault it at all. The room was lovely and big and cleaners came in every day. We tried out the Greek restaurant and had the best time. Not only was the food amazing but they also put on a show and you can get involved with the plate smashing. The breakfast was great there was so much choice. Staff were so lovely and even gave us a tour of the hotel before going to our room. They were also brilliant with our daughter who has food allergies and helped us when we needed it. Location was brilliant about a 20 minute walk from the old town and only a 5 minute walk to nearest bars and restaurants. We only came home 2 days ago and are already booking to go back next year
