Loved our two nights at Villa Allure. Clean, spacious, lovely view, great location, only 5-10 minutes from the old city. Maria was super helpful…she was waiting for us at the door when we arrived and promptly checked us in and gave us tips for where and when to visit places and where to eat. Breakfast was simple, cooked by Maria and served on the patio. We had Eggs, toast, and omelettes. There was also fruit and cold cereal, and she made us coffee to order. More than enough to start our day and get on our way. Highly recommend.

“Small Privately Owned Hotel with Character.”

Booked for 4 nights with Jet2 holidays. The hotel is full of character conveniently located about 200 meters from one of the Old Town gates. The room that we had has a view of the sea and the Old Town itself. It’s easy to walk down to the town and all the restaurants, cafes, museums and other attractions. We were in a room on the top floor and there were a number of steps that we needed to take. There is no lift. The room was spacious with a 4 poster bed. It is equipped with a small fridge with chargeable refreshments and a kettle. Coffee and tea bags are provided. Bottled water is provided free in a fridge by the swimming pool which you can pick up and take to your room. The breakfast was superb with hot food to order and “continental” breakfast items as well as a wide range of fresh fruits, yogurts. The best part is the presence of Maria who was superb in customer services. She was so pleasant, helpful and pro active. I highly recommend this place.

We had a very pleasant stay at this Villa. I sum up the pros and cons: Pros: Almost everything was really great at this villa! We were greeted when we arrived and everything was taken care of really well! This was really nice to see after we were a bit tired from the flight! The location is really great! It is a 5-10 minutes walk till the gate, but in the villa you experience quietness. This is so nice since Dubrovnik can be so crowded from time to time. It also a few minutes walking from the a great beach were you can enjoy the sun and sea. The breakfast was really great! The location is on the terrace and this is nice to sit outside. The variation is also good! There is something for everyone. At the breakfast the host will ask what coffee or tea to make and if want something fresh to be made such as pancakes or scrambled eggs. This exceeded our expectations. The service of the host was also really great! If you had a questions she did her upmost best to answer it. What was really fantastic is that she even stood up a half hour early to make us breakfast since we had to go on an excursions to Mostar really early! The room was also really nice and spacious, clean and the airco was doing a good job keeping us cool! Cons: We liked everything, however we want to note some improvements to take into consideration The bed was really squeaky. This was due to the wooded bed frame. When you moved the slightest the bed made loud noises. We brought our earplugs and this was really welcome to have good nightrest. The shower was good however the showerhead was not really height. I know that I am long (190cm) however the showerhead reached my shoulders when it was on it heighest. A bit unpractical to shower. Furthermore for the breakfast the only thing that I missed was some buns and some slices of cooked ham or chicken, And two thing to note here is that the pool is tiny (however it is nice to even have it) and the door of the hotel opens on a busy road. You need to stick out your head first to see if you are not hit by a vehicle. The host made us really aware of this so we always looked first before we stepped outside.

Initial impressions of the reception area are unpromising, but the rest of the villa is much more pleasant. We stayed in a room called “The Old Town”. True to its name, the room has outstanding views of the old town and is great for viewing sunsets. If your room is not so well-located, then you can always cross the road to the Hotel Excelsior and enjoy the view from their terrace bar (just head down the large staircase in the lobby, and keep going until you can go no further). The entrance to the villa opens directly onto a road, but the risk of being run over is small if you have your wits about you. The road leads quickly to lovely Banje Beach and onwards to the old town. The villa really enjoys a great location. The Allure feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel. It has an intimate atmosphere and Maria plays a big part in ensuring guests feel very welcome. The villa has a nice sundeck and (unheated) pool, but the proximity of Banje Beach meant that we spent more time there when not sightseeing.
