I loved this place and my partner didn’t so I really do see now how we read such different reviews!! It’s up a hill but if you are coming to Dubrovnik you are going to see many hills and steps, it’s on an estate about half way between the old town and Gruz harbour so 20 to 25 mins walk to either but only 5 mins to the bus stops which you very rarely have to wait more than 5 mins for a bus. It’s clean and modern, we were able to check in 3 hours early after waiting 10 mins for the cleaners to finish Whatsapp is handy as if you ring the number on the box at the gate they will Whatsapp pictures and instructions on how to get in. We had two lots of towels each and the bed made up but also extra set of sheets. 1 toilet roll for each day and kitchen clothes and tea towels. A couple of small soaps and shower gel. A huge bed with a hard mattress I liked he didn’t. The kitchenette has two hobs and a kettle, microwave coffee machine and fridge with all the cooking equipment we needed, you would not want to cook a three course meal here! You can do toast in the griddle frying pan!! We had a couple of small problems which we whatsapped to the agent and they were sorted out in the first 30 mins. Now there are five apartments here apartment 1 has a large terrace out front with a view BUT you have to come out if your apartment and front door to sit on it so it’s not ‘en-suit’ apartment 2 has garden terrace don’t think you would get much sun, 3 has small balcony out front with view, 4 has a terrace out back (ours) huge umbrella, overlooks other holiday terraces but suited me fine as I had choice of shade or sun. 5 is in the roof almost with no outside space. It’s not far to mini markets, bakery, beach (although downhill and steps all the way so it’s a long long journey back!!). There are no signposts to the beach so it’s quite secret!! There are also a few restaurants within 10 mins walk. Dubrovnik is expensive it will cost £10 ish for a pizza or pasta and often almost double that for fish or meat meals. Buy 24 hour bus tickets from the tourist info or Libertas offices you can buy as many as you want cos the don’t start until you first register them on the bus they are 30 kuna each - well worth is as it’s 15 kuna to get on the bus each time. You can get single use bus ticket slightly cheaper for 12 Kuna from Tisak stand at the bottom of the hill from the apartment to get you into harbour or town to buy the 24 hour tickets. “Perfect week away!!”

Well despite our very very lengthy diversion, we finally arrived! The Manager was brilliant, he kept texting to make sure we were OK and we were on our way!! Mateo you’re the best!! Well despite our very very lengthy diversion, we finally arrived! The Manager was brilliant, he kept texting to make sure we were OK and we were on our way!! Mateo you’re the best!! Finally taken to our room, Mateo was informative and really made us feel welcome. Explained where shops are, local pizza shop (we’d been on a bus for 7 hrs and were staaaarving!!) also talked about tours etc and mentioned more than once, he was only a text away if we needed anything day or night!! The apartment was spotless, lots of pots, pans, coffee, glassware, ample towels for a weeks stay and killer views from the small terrace. It’s not too far to the Old City and you can get to Gruz port in about 30 mins by foot and it’s a glorious walk. Atlas were great with transfers FYI!! Again thank you Mateo and team!!

“Dubrovnik holiday”

Stayed here for 7 nights very good apartment with a great big balcony. The only thing was it was a bit out of town. Room very clean and spacious. Would probably stay here again if returning to Dubrovnik.
