“Very nice accomodation”

Very nice accommodation, clean and comfortable rooms (with air conditioning), Wi-Fi free, swimming pool, near to the sea (about 50 meters), kind staff, buffet breakfast included in the room price. Good quality-price ratio! A nice place to relax and visit other attractions in Istria!

I have visited this place before and it was much better before. The food was tasty, swimming pool was too cold. Rooms are small, beds are quite comfortable, bathrooms were too small, floors were cold and it was just not enough space in the rooms, terrace was to much exposure to the sun, there was not enough shadows at the camp. Staff was nice.

“A choice in overbooked/overcrouded Umag in summer”

I spent last summer there with my wife. Two sunny weeks. It's actually a bungalow kind of accommodation, gravitating to their own central restaurant. Rooms are nothing but bed, wardrobe and small bathroom with shower, although you can choose the size. Some rooms are spreading from ground level to the first floor of facility. Good for big families. No Air Condition in rooms!!! That is forcing you to stay on the beach as long as possible. But it looks like they are planning to invest in AC in the future. Hopefully. Prices are really affordable, but for the "robinson" comfort, they are just fair enough. There is a nice small pool near rooms where you can relax in warm summer nights. The trick is a restaurant. You get such a low low quality! Choice is not just small (really small), but ALL things served were of lowest quality / cheapest Croatian retail food chain "RIAL". These stuff are bought in supermarket only by very poor people. Obviously the owner wants to save money, while giving guests NO CHOICE, since refrigerators are not provided in rooms. They offer lunch and dinner in this restaurant. Although the cooking staff is trying hard to prepare good local meals, success is doomed because this crappy "Rial" is everywhere to keep expenses on lowest possible level. Also, it is clearly written on the door of restaurant: "Bringing your own food to the restaurant is prohibited" That means, if you want to eat for breakfast something that suits you better (i.e. fresh tomatoes and rye bread), you have to do it in the room on the bed, because there is no table or chair in the room! There is also another warning: "Taking food out of the restaurant is prohibited". That means if you want to take one tasteless Rial apple with you on the beach, you will be warned by waiter, and you have to leave it there or throw it in a trash. That is my personal experience, believe it or not. So we didn't take lunch or dinner, not even breakfast. The only reason why we would visit this place again is quiet neighborhood and nice rocky beach nearby as a part of a big camp complex (4 minute walk from rooms). Sea is really clean and beaches are not too crowded. Suitable for kids. Beach is natural rock with occasional concrete platforms, no sand. Rooms are quiet in the evening, so no hassle for a good night sleep. The management care more about cash than about guests (as explained in the restaurant issue) so you can not pay with any credit card. They accept cash only, so take care of that! And management staff, especially boss lady, don't have polite manners at all, so don't be surprised for some rude chats. The policy in Zatisje, as in the most of Croatian cost is: "You are here for us and our sea, so stop complaining, take what we offer you, and give us your money!"
