All inclusive resort Club Karey is huge complex of villas around 1,5kms beside road Kawama ending on the edge of hotel Playa Caleta, all directly on the beach. From many of villas you have very nice views on ocean. Please mind: Map of hotel place on Tripadvisor is now wrong. Villa Punta Blanca is last complex just beside Playa Caleta hotel, on the google map you can see small roundabout, which is just infront of Villa Punta Blanca on Kawama road. BUT reception is not there, you have to go to Club Karey hotel main building like 1000m away. But to say truth, some 4* even 5* large hotel complexes has even bigger distances... so nothing to complain. BUT even I have bought directly on Islazul web portal 2 (all inclusive) nights at Punta Blanca, Club Karey reception put us to big bungalow 401 which was more close to restaurant, pool, tennis court and lobby bar (about 700m), so it was nice. Bungalow was big, with separate seating area, hot water was working well, air condition was new and quiet and bathroom with bathtube. Room and bathroom was clean. Some part of walls was humid and missing painting, but it was just small part and overall experience with room was good. Breakfast was with good choice of hot and cold meals, including meat, eggs etc, but each day the same. Lunch and dinner was much better, changing every day and with good variety even with sea food like grilled schrimps. Red vine was tasty. Cleanliness of restaurant was moderate and toilets close to restaurant was in very bad condition. But views from restaurant was fantastic, like you are directly on the ocean! Beach was nice, but we have not good weather for swimming. Staff was helpful and nice. Coffee is good only in Bars, but alcoholic coctail choice was poor. Not sure if Punta Blanca is closed or they move you automatically to closer bungalows if they are empty, but in my case I could not complain. I would recommend this hotel to privacy lovers, you will be on the beach mostly alone and feel like on the small cayo and not in touristy Varadero. Generally it is nice 2* up to 3* hotel, if you take into account price vs location. Taxi to Airoport was 30CUC.
