When my tour group recently passed through Sancti Spiritus, we were lodged at the lovely Don Florencio. While there are other cheaper accommodations in town, I was charmed by the old-world ambiance of this hotel. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Our tall balcony door opened out to a great view of the cobblestone street below and its pedestrian traffic. The bathroom was immense and one of the few I found that had a bathtub and plug (!). The bar is small as is the dining room (I have doubts that many patrons have dinner here when there are other popular options elsewhere). Our breakfast, however, was substantial enough to last until our next destination. If you are feeling road-weary and are in need of a bit of luxury, Don Florencio is the place to go.

“Lovely old Building”

Loved this hotel - beautiful common spaces and a gorgeous enclosed courtyard complete with a big Jacuzzi. Our room was in the grand style and had a great bathroom. Loved this hotel - beautiful common spaces and a gorgeous enclosed courtyard complete with a big Jacuzzi. Our room was in the grand style and had a great bathroom. However, the room seemed damp and the hot water was a bit erratic so you had to watch not to get fried! Lovely antique furniture and displayed items and a very pleasant stay with a nice inside outside courtyard bar.

Arrived at this hotel on 09.04.2017 & right from the outset, its got a lot of character. Staff very friendly & attentive. Hotel had a dozen rooms & a Jacuzzi in the middle of the downstairs lobby. The only couple of downsides were: door on our room was not very secure & one of our friends cut into his bread roll & lots and lots of tiny black bugs ran out of it. We only stayed one night due to being on the classical Cuba tour from Thomas cook. Hotel is situated in a pedestrian street within walking distance of the main square. Toiletries supplied in the bathroom. A little disappointed that the shower did not have a fitting to put it on the wall so we had to shower ourselves by holding it above us.

“Pleasant Little Hotel”

Quaint small hotel located on a pedestrian street. Had a quiet room at the rear of the hotel. Rooms are quite small with no window but do have A/C and a reasonably comfortable bed. Breakfast was basic and the staff were friendly.

Typical old grand house built around a coutyard converted into a Hotel situated in a pedestrianised street. Typical old grand house built around a coutyard converted into a Hotel situated in a pedestrianised street. Our room close to the lobby was large but suffered from noise from the adjacent bar which boasted a TV and which the staff watched until fairly late at night. The rrom had a bath and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was simple. Strangely, in its central courtyard, it had two Jacuzzis. Given that most hotels were noisy whereever the rooms were situated in provincial Cuba, this hotel was as good as most and could be recommended.
