Wally, wellington, juan Trinidad, Alejandro At the swim up bar were the best thing about the place. They made you feel extremely welcome with a smile and always remembered your drink, even when I couldn’t. Food and service were great throughout the resort. I would definitely return.

We recently stayed at the Caribe Deluxe Princess and overall had a really enjoyable holiday. The resort has a lot going for it, particularly the beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and some truly excellent staff. However, there are a few areas where the experience could be smoother, especially for guests with dietary requirements such as coeliac disease. The grounds are immaculately maintained, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the rooftop area at the Beach House is stunning, with lovely views. The Beach House snack bar quickly became our favourite place for breakfast. Across the resort, staff work incredibly hard and several individuals really stood out. Francisco at the omelette station deserves special mention. He took real pride in what he was doing and even refused to use a cracked egg, choosing to start again instead — a small moment that really showed his high standards. De la Paz was brilliant throughout our stay: funny, charming, attentive, and full of energy every day. Audelina was also wonderful, always checking in with drinks, water, and coffee around the pool. As a guest with coeliac disease, the food experience was mixed. On the first day, there was little understanding of gluten free requirements at the buffet, and no allergen information was displayed. Clear dish labelling with allergens would make a huge difference and help guests feel much safer. After raising this issue, Yelenny (guest services) was extremely helpful and printed a letter in Spanish explaining my dietary needs for restaurant staff, which I really appreciated. Later in the holiday, Zamora (I think the manager of the buffet area) was also excellent and explained that gluten free pasta and pizza could be made on request — information that would have been incredibly helpful to know from the start. Restaurant experiences varied. - The Italian restaurant was one of the better options, mainly because it offered gluten free pasta. - The Tex Mex restaurant was reasonable, and they were able to adapt one dish, although the overall choice was limited. - The Brazilian restaurant would suit guests who enjoy meat, but despite the menu suggesting more variety, it felt closer to a fixed set menu and could benefit from a wider selection of vegetables. - The buffet was our favourite – the broccoli soup and aubergine stew were delicious!!! There were several frustrations during the stay. Information around the resort was difficult to find, whether about restaurant bookings, locations, or getting around. Restaurant booking in particular was frustrating — when we tried at 11 am, there was already no availability. I recommend booking the restaurants at receptions guest services. We were able to book a couple of days in advance. The rooms were comfortable but could be improved in a few practical ways. The bathroom offers very little privacy, with no proper door or separation from the bedroom, which made getting changed awkward when sharing with a friend. There was also limited space to place towels or clothes after showering, and the shower door didn’t fully close, which allowed water to escape onto the floor. The pillows were extremely thick and firm and, despite raising this early in the stay, we were told that only firm pillows were available. We also had to follow up several times on requests such as an extra blanket and a replacement hairdryer. Housekeeping came daily and towels were replaced, but the service felt inconsistent. What was left each day varied — one day we had face cloths, then none for the next few days. We started with two hand towels but were sometimes left with only one, although bath towels were always provided. Beach towels were easy to exchange, though the towel station did not open until 8 am. Around the resort, there were several areas reserved for VIP guests, but very little information about how to access this upgrade. Some restaurants and sunbed areas were reserved for VIPs, yet these spaces were often left unused. The beach is beautiful, but sunbeds were frequently claimed with towels very early in the morning despite no one being there. When we tried at 7 am, availability was already very limited. There are three pool areas with different atmospheres. - The livelier pool with entertainment and the swim up bar wasn’t really for us. - The Beach House pool was our favourite — quieter, more relaxed, and generally much easier to find a sunbed. - There is also a children’s pool with slides, which we didn’t use. One final minor point: the knives throughout the resort could definitely be sharper. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday thanks to some fantastic staff members, a beautiful setting, and very comfortable beds. With better communication, clearer allergen information, and a few practical improvements, this hotel could offer a much smoother and more inclusive experience — especially for guests with dietary requirements.
