Our stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana was nothing short of extraordinary, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to our incredible butler, Camacho. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of in a way that went far beyond expectations. His attention to detail, professionalism, and warm personality truly elevated our entire trip. Camacho anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—whether it was securing reservations, arranging special touches in our room, or simply checking in to make sure everything was perfect. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to relax, which made our stay feel both luxurious and effortless. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are immaculate, the architecture is beautiful, and every corner feels like a peaceful escape. The amenities are top-tier—from the pools and private beach areas to the spa and entertainment options, everything is designed for comfort and indulgence. The food deserves special recognition as well. Every restaurant we tried delivered high-quality, flavorful dishes with excellent presentation. There’s a great variety of options, so whether you’re in the mood for something casual or a more upscale dining experience, you’ll find it here. The service across the resort was consistently excellent, which made every meal even more enjoyable. “Experience the Castle and be pampered!”

PROS- Butler service…CAMACHO tended to every need/concern. Assisted in electric scooter rental when we realized walking resort not conducive to mobility limited spouse; had maintenance issues addressed ( hard to open patio door/ non-sliding drawer); reservations made daily at each restaurant requested and brought us by golf cart, and made us feel like much appreciated guests! Housekeeping…JEBELYN extremely pleasant, proficient and personable. Was nice to have same attendant entirety of stay! Meals- WOK outstanding food and ambience . Went twice to experience as much as possible from the menu. Blue Marlin on waterfront for fish and Carpaccio (Italian) also good. The Steakhouse was OK; nothing out of the ordinary Breakfast/lunch buffet was well staffed with many selections. Like the fact you’re plated hot entrees and fruit/ cheese/ meat by a server from behind the counter. Staff- everyone we encountered greeted us immediately and were eager to please .Grounds- beautiful and well kept. We stayed in The Castle so restaurants/pools further away. We used our own little moat outside our room but the larger pools never seemed crowded. CONS- Can only speak to our situation … too much furniture for a 2 person suite; TV can only be seen from bed, only 2 small, ill functioning drawers for clothes (USE PACKING CUBES) , bathroom countertop taken up by 2 huge sinks and no shelf below so utilized one sink for storage. NOTE- bring inflatable raft, YETI to keep drinks cold, small bills for tipping!

We stayed here for an anniversary. The castle side of this resort is beautiful with quiet views that aesthetically feel like a sanctuary. As you walk the hallways of the castle there is a therapeutic rain shower feature. Our room had a balcony that led directly to the ocean and felt private. The fountains and ponds are also beautiful. This is all-inclusive. There is a buffet included but the food and coffee is not great, neither is the service. Don’t get the pineapple juice. There is a small cafe that has the best coffee, but the two women at the front desk were noticeably friendly to only certain customers. It didn’t help that we were the only ones tipping and that we required no extras. Since it was December, it was easy to book with the special restaurants. The Italian restaurant was our favorite and there was a Haitian waiter (I regret I can’t recall his name) who has worked there a while who was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and everything he recommended was on point. The steakhouse had a special we did for our anniversary but my favorite part was being serenaded by the 3-man band that goes around playing for customers . They are wonderful and it felt romantic. My main gripe is the lack of a detailed receipt at checkout and the idea that our flights were cancelled and we missed a night but the hotel just would not refund the night we did not use. They also charged the daily resort fee even though we were not there that day. Being lifetime Marriott members did not help.
