The hotel was very clean and so was our room, they have lots of activities for free available all throughout the day and the pool bar is super convenient! the food is amazing no complaints there and lots of variety throughout our week! only little thing was that we weren’t aware we didn’t book vip, elite or promo so we didn’t get access to certain things like the beach bar and waffle house which at the end of the day is ok haha -Angie

“Beautiful resort”

We stayed at this property the last week of March 2024. We traveled with our son who is a VIP Level Property Owner with this resort. I will be sharing the negatives first of this property - in no way allow the negatives to deter from staying at this property - just be aware of potential issues which may or may not happen We did have travel issues getting to the resort on our first day, therefore, our arrival was early morning the following day. Due to failure in communication on the resort part, even though our son was constently sending e-mails and chats with the resort, we had to hire a taxi to get to the resort from the airport. We had a total of 3 rooms in building 6. One was on first floor, the other 2 on the second floor. There were issues with all 3 rooms - however - 1 of the 3 room issues was tolerable and did not interfere with the entire stay- a closet door scrubbed/stuck to the floor, and the combination for the safe that was requested to have was never given - after researching and realizing it was never charged to my account I opted not to say anything further about the use of the safe. The first floor room door lock did not work properly - anyone could simply turn the handle and walk in - it took until the 3rd day for the repair of it to actually be correct. The other 2nd floor room had mold and even a mushroom growing in the shower, this was also remedied on the 3rd day by moving those in this room to another room. Additionally there are several staff who are not bi-lingual making it a little difficult to order food items/drinks with clarity. Our son as a VIP owner did consistently address our concerns and by the 3rd day things were smoothing out. He did have to ask for the refrigerators to be stocked appropriately with water and sodas. The property grounds were kept clean and well groomed. The peacocks were fun to see and listen to. The map provided by the resort is a little confusing on finding locations, therefore the need to ask for directions a lot. Upon arrival you are constantly approached by sales staff to take a tour of the property- even with wearing the gold VIP bands they want to try to upsale to the next level - so be warned of this. The evening meals at the different restaruants are amazing - excluding the Indochine Asian - none of us liked the taste of our food at it. However, Jazz, Rodizio, The Blue Lagoon, Gourmet and Moonlight are all wonderful! We also dined at Blue's for breakfast - much better than the Casablanca buffet. Vienna Coffee House is wonderful as well. We caught 2 of the shows at the Colosseum - the first show - Zulu Afro-Taino was not entertaining - the dancers were not coordinated at all - we left after 10 minutes --- the Magician show was good though. During the day on Wednesday they held a Dominican Party - the first 15 minutes we saw was great - had to depart for a medical issue. My son and his family thoroughly enjoyed the Foam Party held on Thursday at the pool. As I said the food was amazing, the ice cream, burgers, pizza, and sushi near the beach area were great. Our last 3 days at the resort we stayed on the VIP section of the beach on the lounge beds. Very relaxing with beautiful views of the ocean. We choose to tip our wait staff - housekeeper, restaurant staff - they truly appreciated the tips - just a few dollars but it does make a difference. All in all our experience wasn't bad, we would go back again, and be more knowledgabe for the next stay.
