My kids asked me to write a review. Prior to going we would read all the reviews, so here is ours. We travelled as a family of 4. Kids aged 13 And 15. Overall is was a great a great experience. I’ll break it down. GOOD Location! It is about 30 minutes from the airport…which I love. We flew Sunwing, which included a transport to the hotel. We decided to pay for a private cab instead. $35 USD and well worth it. Lobby. This hotel’s lobby is the most beautiful lobby I have seen. We loved spending our evenings in there after dinner, listening to music and watching the light entertainment. Bar was great. Pools. The pools are huge and soooo clean. We spent a lot of time in the pools. Never felt gross afterwards. Loved the swim up bar. Temperature of the water was perfect. There are 2 pools. First one is the “quiet” pool. Second one is the “party” pool. Since they are close together you hear the music at both. Didn’t bother us. Beach. Although the beach is still a little eroded it is very nice. Soft sand and gorgeous blue water. Very little seaweed. It was cleaned up regularly by a tractor. Food. Overall food was great. Buffet was the best resort buffet we have ever experienced. Breakfast was my favourite. The omelette station is worth the wait. Folks, please tip the omelette guy. Service. We experience great service. From check in, through restaurants and check out. Miguel at the buffet was awesome We got to know him and he would bring us our drinks at lunch without us even asking. Our last day was his day off, but he asked his coworkers to prepare a beautiful table for us. When we walked in for breakfast we felt like VIP guests. Our table was set with beautiful napkins and flowers. What a nice touch. Our room was cleaned daily and flowers were left to decorate the space. NOT AS GOOD We did not have privilege. There are two restaurants that need to prebook reservations To do this you have to line up. In order to get a spot and not wait in line forever we had to be there by 6:45am. We had to do that twice. A little annoying. Umbrellas and Chairs. All of the reviews are correct. If you want a chair with an umbrella you need to get up at 6:30…or before to get a spot. My husband did it for us. Bathroom in our room. Reviews are not wrong when they say the rooms could use some TLC. It didn’t ruin anything but, want to be honest. Just a personal item. Entertaining started too late! 9:30pm after a day in the sun was too late for us. We tried but never made it! Again. We had a great time. Everyone, please tip! These people work very hard. Long hours, many days in a row, for next to nothing. Don’t be chesp. Tip!!!

This was our 5th time to this resort. It really does have value for your dollar. We book privileged club now because we like the added perks. This was our 5th time to this resort. It really does have value for your dollar. We book privileged club now because we like the added perks. The beach bar alone is worth it because the drinks are so much better there. When we went you had to get up early to get shade. There just isn’t enough shade umbrellas. We did find you had to really read the signs at the buffet, a lot of them the food didn’t match the sign. The food was not overly hot at times but there is a microwave in the buffet. The buffet is one of the best. Lots of fresh vegetables, donuts, bagels and cream cheese. Also I saw cavier at the breakfast buffet. I like that they have serve your own coffee at the buffets. The entertainment crew is really good. They always try to get you involved. I just wish they had more English singers at night. Also the shows start at 9:30pm which is really late. But I understand why they do it because it gives people who eat dinner late to be able to see the shows too. A few nights, they had specific bars set up in the lobby, mojitos, margaritas, gin and tonic. Mikes coffee shop is great addition to the resort. All in all it’s a great resort. Great for families.

Our 2nd visit here, 1st being 10 years ago. Good points the entertainment team, waiters and bar staff where great and very friendly. The food was good although we did prefer our night meals in the booked restaurants. The steakhouse, Italian and Mexican was our favorites. Drinks where all nice and we had a nice waitress bring us drinks to save messing around at the bar, a dollar tip goes along way with them. The rooms where nice, bathrooms very dated and no change from 10 years ago. Female staff never smiled that I saw in the whole 2 weeks apart from the 1 lobby bar waitress. We tried twice to get room service which said 30 minutes but never turned up after waiting 1.5 hours, 1 showed as delivered 1 as cancelled. We rang to see and was met with don't understand and put on hold 5 times so gave up. They also have a dress code that was 1 rule for 1 and 1 for another, sorted swiftly by the manager who dealt with the issue. All in all was a nice holiday, made better by entertainment team. I won't go back but enjoyed most of it.
