I'm going to warn you that this is a straight talking review for us and how we found the ocean blue and sands this year. If you go out of your way to find a fault or don't like something then if you look you will find, but please remember not everything is 100% perfect. We traveled from the UK on June 22nd, had the normal airport issues but it was OK generally. A smooth flight and good service from the crew. Again a good experience in punta cana Airport, swift on the baggage claim. We didn't use the tui coach as I had sorted private transfer. Thank you to Erica Espo for a great trip to the hotel. On arrival we were shown to Privileged reception. Where we were given room 10306. Taken to the room by the bell boys. I must say I felt that this is one of best rooms we have had in the hotel. It was very clean, well stocked fridge, and toiletries. A hairdryer in the bathroom, along with plenty of towels and a set of scalesl ( if you felt the need to weigh yourself) Popped to the buffet for a light snack and a drink in the lobby and that was a full 1st day( -5hrs from the uk) Breakfast at the Privileged area by the beach was amazing for the view. Ambar and Elvin who we know from previous trips were as beautiful and attentive as always. As was Wilkins, Freddie, and Rosa. A few bits of the food some mornings was not quite as tasty but generally good most mornings. A basket with toast and pastries with jam and butter were provided with a choice of juices, water and coffee. The beach did have a lot of seaweed to start with but it did clear by the end of the 1st week and the second week not a big problem some but not a big deal. The Privileged pool area was great. Well looked after by Daniel who we found to be a very nice young man with a great memory and sence of humour. Very attentive in everything. Always at by 8am towels out etc. Lunch time good in the villa marina was good generally a little repetitive but tasty. Good fresh pasta, pizza, roast chicken, Soto who is one of the chef's prepared a few specials for us, prawns, sushi, ect. We used route 66 which we found a rushed service and the for greasy. (Pic on here) Steak house which is very popular was one of our favourites, used a few times on our 2 week stay(pics) The Italian was we found impressive used a couple of times. Both different experiences but good. Think we had just about everything of the menu on the 1 at visit with some friends. As they wanted us to try all sorts of the menu. 2nd trip the waiter who i didn't get his name made it the best night we had for entertainment from getting us to order in Spanish, keeping us on our toes while we had great food. The in house red wine was OK not like a good malbec but it was OK. The rosè was also ok. The Mexican we found ok but would not rush back. Food was mediocre and I felt some of the spice in the prawns and chicken overpowered the food. The blue moon was a delight. Went for my birthday. Had a beautiful meal the appetiser was good toast with blue cheese and balsamic. The pear and feta salads was refreshing and tasty. The pork tenderloin again very tasty and very tender. The staff were very kind, brought me a birthday cake which was stunning. And the very kindly sang happy birthday to me. Mike's coffee the most relaxing spot to finish a meal with a good coffee. The piano lounge (adult only) served the nicest cocktails like an old fashioned, nagroni, martinis fixed nicely by Noelia and Javira The lobby bar has icons of sexy black, franisco, Santiago, provide great drinks and entertainment in the evening. A well run clean bar. The bottom pool bar bienvenido, Yohan are the best you will find. The bar buzzs on pool party day and they run a great bar under pressure as well as when it's quieter. Always clean, you just need to be careful if the sun is shining on the pool bar its self does get hot. The tiki bar. Caretaker (carlos m) what a gem he was on the bar. Kept us entertained and always smiling. Since we were there last the hotel had changed the steps into the pool in some places which i feel is a good improvement for the less able bodies. The entertainment team Polin, Henry, and the team work hard and even if your not joining in with the activities always say hola. Some of these people we have know for 17yrs some we have not but always love to see them smiling and helpful. Our butler Amable was great very understanding. Came and found us everyday he was working and made sure we had everything we needed, either in the fridge, the bathroom etc nothing was any trouble to him. When we return i do hope we have him as our butler because he was great. Thank you OBS.... until next time

Having stayed at several resorts across the Dominican Republic over the years, our recent stay at Ocean Blue & Sand was in a class of its own. From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the resort and the incredible surrounding scenery set the tone for an incredible getaway. The property is gorgeous, seamlessly blending luxury with lush, tropical surroundings, and the manicured grounds are meticulously maintained, making every walk through the property feel like a stroll through paradise.  What truly elevates Ocean Blue & Sand above other Dominican Republic resorts is the dining. The food was absolutely amazing across the board—rich in flavor, incredibly fresh, and offering a level of variety and presentation that blew our previous resort experiences in the country out of the water. Pair that with the spectacular, pristine swimming pools the property, and you have the perfect setting to relax and unwind, especially in our Privileged pool area. Upgrading to the Privilege package was without a doubt the single best decision of our trip. The Privilege status unlocked a new level of personal attention and care from the entire staff, who were uniformly generous, accommodating, and exceptionally professional every step of the way. This included the fantastic room, with its excellent maid service (the room was cleaned every morning before we returned from breakfast), super comfortable king sized bed and cold A/C. Two standouts made our stay truly remarkable…… Daniel at the Privilege Pool: Daniel was absolutely incredible and the embodiment of professionalism. Attentive to every detail, he brought out the absolute best in the resort with his dedication and positive energy. Ocean Blue & Sand should be exceptionally proud to have an employee of his caliber on their team. Willnier, Our Butler: Willnier took service to another level. Friendly, deeply helpful, and effortlessly professional, he ensured every aspect of our itinerary ran smoothly so we could focus entirely on relaxing. The warmth of the staff, the beautiful grounds, and the exceptional dining make Ocean Blue & Sand an easy five-star recommendation. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

“Jorgelina and Ruth are the best!!”

My favorite part of my trip was being welcomed every morning at breakfast by Jorgelina and Ruth. They both are very lovely and it was a pleasure starting my day with them. Jorgelina had our table ready with our preferred beverages and a smile. Excellent service!!

“Impressed with the standards”

We spent a wonderful 6 days here and would have liked to have stayed longer. The grounds are immaculate and the workers are constantly on top of things. We stayed in building 8 which is close to a pool and had no issues with air conditioner. There is a lot of walking on this resort so I would advis… more

We spent a wonderful 6 days here and would have liked to have stayed longer. The grounds are immaculate and the workers are constantly on top of things. We stayed in building 8 which is close to a pool and had no issues with air conditioner. There is a lot of walking on this resort so I would advise to bring comfortable shoes and enjoy the grounds as they are lovely. We always found a lot to eat that we liked at the buffets. The speciality restaurants were so good. The French restaurant required formal wear and was delicious. We also both enjoyed the steakhouse and Japanese restaurant experiences but were disappointed that we couldn’t get into the Italian. We arrived at 7 and told it was full yet there was no making reservations. That’s an area for improvement. We dodged the time share spiel which was on our radar. We got sucked into this in Mexico and wasted 4 hours of our day. We didn’t appreciate being approached upon arrival after a day of travel. Another suggestion for improvement would be to eliminate the people permitted on the resort who try to sell you goods. Saying a firm no thank you seems not to work the best. Overall, this has been a positive stay. Would return.
