“Winter vacation”

Building is nice well maintained location is perfect but, it is next to the Mosquito Art bar. The bar opens at 10PM and closes at 2AM. They play their music so loud it vibrates the windows. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing place this place isn't for you.

If you are not a late night person DO NOT stay here. The Mosquito Art Bar next door has music at night. During the week it's not bad (til 1AMish), but Friday - Saturday it goes to 3AM and is really, really loud. We just got up and read. I would not have reserved had I known. If you are not a late night person DO NOT stay here. The Mosquito Art Bar next door has music at night. During the week it's not bad (til 1AMish), but Friday - Saturday it goes to 3AM and is really, really loud. We just got up and read. I would not have reserved had I known. Beautiful roof top pool we watched whales from, great location (lots of street noise if that bothers you). Nice deck. AC worked well, beds uncomfortable, virtually no kitchen utensils, serving bowls, etc. Pillow cases not washed and one pillow smelled so bad, we bought 2 new (along with kitchen stuff) No cleaning supplies (3 weeks there, we needed them) bought our own. We spent a fair amount of money to make it useable. No instructions on where garbage was, pool, etc, etc. The location makes many things walkable. NO hot water in the kitchen. Other units different, so don't assume they are all like this. We met other people that had much nicer units. If you go to the back of the building, it's not as loud, but then no ocean view.

“Great location”

We stayed at Condo Hotel Caribey during a recent family trip to Las Terrenas. The location is by far the best part of this hotel. We stayed at Condo Hotel Caribey during a recent family trip to Las Terrenas. The location is by far the best part of this hotel. It's right at what used to be the fisherman's town, now a fantastic row of restaurants on the beach. You can get pretty much on foot to other nice parts of Las Terrenas for dinner just by walking along the coast, although a car could be really useful to explore well the area. The apartment we got had 2 bedrooms, a living room/kitchen combined area and a balcony. It was fine for a few days stay but I wouldn't like it for long stays. The master bedroom (if you go by bed size) had a king size bed, but no direct entrance to the bathroom, which was in a hallway open to the living area. The second bedroom was en suite and had two twin size beds. I simply change of furniture would have made the master bedroom a proper one. We didn't cook but missed not having a microwave or a kettle for morning coffee; ended up using a very large pot to heat water on the stove. A nice treat was to have a 5-gallon water of bottle w/dispenser for cold water. We had issues with one bedroom A/C for the few nights we were there. We called reception and they do send someone immediately, although no fix seemed to last longer than 1 hour or 2. Finally, it worked well during our last night. It was horribly hot in there without A/C. Keep in mind that the living area does not have air conditioning and it get very hot and unpleasant during summer months. Winter should be fine as temperatures drop a bit in the island. The apartment was well cleaned. There was some tiny roaches. I saw most in the hallway bathroom at night, maybe due to high humidity, and just a few in the kitchen area. They were tiny; nothing that would affect one's stay and quite normal to find a few crawling insects in most properties surrounded by vegetation. I didn't get to use the pools but saw the ground floor pools and they looked very clean to me. The grounds were well maintained. Parking was free and inside the complex.
