My husband and I just spent a week here, and honestly, we survived to tell the tale—mostly because the Red Sea is stunning enough to make you forget minor inconveniences. Here is the honest, slightly sun-burnt breakdown of our stay. The Room & Location. Let’s start with the best part: the location. MinaMark is right in the heart of the Sakkala district. You step outside, and boom—you are instantly approached by twenty friendly local shopkeepers wanting to sell you perfume, papyrus, or a camel. It’s vibrant, loud, and alive. As for the room, it was decent and surprisingly clean. Sure, the air conditioning sounded like a jet engine preparing for takeoff, and the room key card worked strictly when it felt like cooperating, but the bed was huge. My husband spent half the vacation trying to figure out how to lock the balcony door without locking himself out in his boxers, which provided excellent free entertainment. Food & Drinks. Ah, the all-inclusive culinary adventure. Breakfast: Boiled eggs, endless pastries, and coffee that requires a brave soul to drink. Lunch & Dinner: There is always food, but you need tactical skills to secure a table during peak hours. My husband discovered a rare competitive sport here: The Battle for the Last Grilled Chicken Breast. The bartenders pour drinks with a heavy hand if you smile nicely, though the local wine tastes like liquid regret mixed with grapes. Pro tip: bring your own tumbler mug for the pool bar. The plastic cups hold about two sips of beer, and nobody likes making that trip twice in the Egyptian heat. Beach & Pool. The Red Sea completely saves the resort. The hotel has its own cozy lagoon-style beach with soft sand and crystal-clear water. You walk in and immediately forget every calorie from the lunch buffet. The pool area is nice, though the race for sun loungers starts around 6:00 AM. My husband swore he saw a German tourist stake a claim on three chairs using a towel and sheer willpower before the sun even crested the horizon. We didn't bother fighting; we just claimed a spot near the water and enjoyed the sunshine. Animation. The animation team ensures you never have a dull moment, whether you want to or not. You are constantly invited to aqua aerobics, yoga, or volleyball. My husband initially resisted playing darts, but by mid-week, he was enthusiastically joining the evening shows. The staff works hard to keep everyone entertained from morning until night! Also, a quick tip for anyone looking to explore: we booked our trips through Sheriff Egypt, and they were fantastic! Their prices are much lower than what the hotel guides charge. We highly recommend their Cairo tour in a small group of up to eight people with a private guide, as well as the Super Safari. Their English-speaking guides are wonderful, very knowledgeable, and make the whole experience so much better! Service & Vibe. The staff works tirelessly. The guys cleaning the rooms even folded our towels into terrifyingly realistic swans that stared at us judgmentally from the bed every afternoon. Everyone is polite, smiles a lot, and always asks, "Everything good, my friend?" even when you're half-asleep looking for coffee. Final Verdict. MinaMark Resort & Spa is not a five-star luxury palace, and nobody claims it is. It has charm, character, a few quirks, and unbeatable value for money. Would we come back? Yes, absolutely. My husband already said he misses the morning swim in the Red Sea, and I miss not having to cook dinner. Just bring a good mood, a sense of humor, and maybe an extra pack of wet wipes!

We have stayed at this hotel for 16 days. There are pros and cons. It's a mixed bag. The room we got, number 612, was dated and old, it smelled of mold and the flushing was not working some days. The food was good but too much seasoned with spices and us 4 people had some gastro problems the first few days. The wifi in the lobby is terrible, you couldn't even post something on Facebook. Now the pros, the staff are working their ass off. They clean and maintain the hotel all the time and I praise them for that. The beach is sandy, the sea is clear although there are some stones in the shallow water it's not that of a big deal. The main problems for the beach are the lack of sunbeds. There were 3 instances when we couldn't find a sunbed, not even the staff could find one for us. All in all this was my third time going to hurghada but honestly, I wouldn't visit this hotel next time I come back in hurghada
