We have been going to the Royal for many years People ask why Our holidays are to relax enjoy excellant food and first class service. This we recieve on each occasion We find the stand out staff are always the 3 girls angie .Kim and Jon They never cease to amaze us with their work load and smile Our room was excellant as usual.air con perfect.house keeping second to none Food simply gets better around it's 10 resteraunts including Soho square to suit all tastes Our favorite is the Italian the Rosemarino always excellant with a huge menu managed by Mr micheal and Mr hussein and their staff We are not sea /snorkel lovers but here you find the best. The Royal has 2 pools adults only everywhere well looked for drinks and food. Breakfast in the morning room with a chef to cook your needs plus an extensive buffet Mr Mamdouh the manager is never far away overseeing his staff and guest needs keeping up the standard and tradition of the 5 star hotel We have booked to return in Sept for a further 3 week Well done everybody and thank you Julie/peter

Visited as a family of 4 in April to celebrate my wife's birthday and to have a cheeky Easter break. Visited as a family of 4 in April to celebrate my wife's birthday and to have a cheeky Easter break. We chose the Royal Savoy purely based on the TA reviews and with it being an Adult only hotel, within a hotel. Communication with the hotel prior to the visit was good and our request for 2 adjoining rooms was kindly accommodated. The rooms are large, but in my opinion are dated and dark. The bathrooms are ok, with a large shower. There is a window that looks out into the room, but can be obscured to ensure privacy. Each room comes with a good size balcony and ours looked out over the pool and the sea to the left. We were on an All Inclusive basis and had access to the Royal Breakfast room, which seems to be appreciated by many guests. In my opinion, I really don't see what was so special about it....based on food variety, quality and decor. Lunch was available in restaurants and the poolside bar. When we decided to eat, we chose the latter. Service was good and portions were large. We actually shared dishes. We didn't try the Savoy Buffett and opted for ala carte in the complex, but also Soho Square. Most meals were fine and of good quality. The Adult pools are nice and the service from the pool team was excellent. A really nice and friendly team. They remembered the area we preferred and had our towels out for us every morning. On my wife's birthday, the area was decorated and flowers were handpicked and a design created. The beach is small and busy. Access to the sea for snorkelling is from a jetty. It's gets busy in the morning and the sea is beautiful with many tropical fish. I liked the hotel, but didn't love it. My biggest '"let down' is that the cocktails were not nice, no matter which bar we were in. We are not big drinkers, but a quality cocktail while on holiday is part of our vibe. To be blunt, they were horrible and after a few tries, we gave up. On the plus side, we enjoyed the rose sparking wine. I can't comment too much on evening entertainments, but from what I did see, it wasn't great. The Royal section could do with a revamp to really make it feel like a 'premium' addition to the Savoy. As mentioned, the bedrooms and internal communal areas need to be brought up to scratch and to a 5* standard. Although, the grounds are nice and well tended to. Access to SOHO square is a small plus, but full of shops selling fake gear........nice if that's your thing, but it's not ours. The question I always ask myself is, would I return. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the answer is no. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the pool area, mainly due to the small touches, warmth and attention from the team.
