it is my second stay for three years at Abalys in Brest. The manager and its members of staff are always so amiable, helpful and very efficient. On this stay, they phoned me just to ask me at what time I was expected to come. I therefore asked them if they could me give me the same room I had on my first stay. They did it immediately and everything was ready a couple of hours later on my arrival. The breakfast is plenty of choices. And the hotel is offering cheaper rates on their official website. So just use it !

“Never been so pleased .”

While Abalys is very conveniently situated in the centre of Brest, near plenty of restaurants and the train station, it is still very quiet as the rooms are soundproof. While Abalys is very conveniently situated in the centre of Brest, near plenty of restaurants and the train station, it is still very quiet as the rooms are soundproof. I enjoyed two different rooms, both nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast offers a large range of local and tasty specialities but what I most appreciated in this hotel was definitely the staff's professionalism and friendliness. Thanks to the warm welcome of the reception staff, I immediately felt at home.

This is amazing value for the price. Rooms are clean, pleasant, simply decorated with the facilities you'd expect. Plenty of powerpoints, including for devices. Mostly good Wi-Fi. Comfortable beds. They don't supply individual soaps and shampoo, but place dispensers in shower and at sink, and supplies are available to purchase. No aircon, but seldom needed in Brest (We were there during a heatwave in France, and didn't need aircon in room.) Five minutes from a good Tourism Office and train station, under 15 minutes to Rue de Siam, Les Halles St Louis, Musée de la Marine, etc. Not in a foodie area, so take advantage of the excellent petit déjeuner.

Sin duda lo mejor es la localización del hotel muy cerca caminando de los principales lugares que hay que visitar en Brest. Aunque la recepcionista de la tarde fue poco atenta on nosotros, el de la noche resultó ser un encanto y nos explicó muchísimas cosas de la ciudad, de como movernos y qué visitar. El hotel tiene una decoración un tanto barroca que mezcla "colchas de la casa de la pradera" y candelabros a lo "Bella y Bestia" con pantallas gigantes de plasma ultramodernas. El desayuno es caro para la calidad que ofrecen (pero esto es bastante generalizado en los hoteles franceses, con honrosas excepciones) El baño necesita un repaso, sobre todo la mampara de la ducha, un poco desvencijada ya. Mucho ruido desde muy temprano (habitaciones sin aire acondicionado que te obligan a dejar abierta la ventana) ENGLISH: Without a doubt the best thing is the location of the hotel very close to the main places to visit in Brest. Although the evening receptionist was not very attentive to us, the evening receptionist turned out to be a delight and explained a lot about the city, how to get around and what to visit. The hotel has a somewhat baroque décor that mixes "prairie house quilts" and "Beauty and the Beast" candlesticks with giant, ultra-modern plasma screens. Breakfast is expensive for the quality they offer (but this is quite widespread in French hotels, with a few exceptions) The bathroom needs a review, especially the shower screen, a little rickety already. A lot of noise from very early in the morning (rooms without air conditioning that force you to leave the window open)
