Really lovely hotel in a great location. The town of Algajola is small and unspoilt with a long beach, lots of small independent eateries and small hotels. Serenada sits right by the water - it is almost like being on a boat - the sea is so close! The rooms are great - comfortable and very clean, the staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful, the location is amazing. Air-con was great, fridge in the room, fresh towels etc everyday if you want. Breakfast is taken on a lovely terrace with the sound of the waves in the background. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. See you next year!

“Lovely seaside village location”

Stayed in family suite which is in Casa Alice approx 100 yds away from main hotel. Lots of steps up to room as on 2nd floor. This was not a problem for us as only hand luggage. Stayed in family suite which is in Casa Alice approx 100 yds away from main hotel. Lots of steps up to room as on 2nd floor. This was not a problem for us as only hand luggage. Very spacious and modern (whole of second floor of building). Great balcony. Two double bedrooms. My daughter had the sofa as didn’t want to share with teenage brother. Could do with twin beds in second bedroom for more flexibility. Lovely continental breakfast which we thought hard to beat. Sunbeds included with our room which booked through bar - you can book several days at once. ALGAJOLA is lovely with plenty of restaurants to choose. Nice atmosphere. Busy as August but not as busy as around Porto vecchio /santa guilia beach we found . Nice sandy beach. Very Small spar in village but newer super U nearby. We liked that you could park up and enjoy not getting in car for few days. Not the cheapest option compared to other med locations we’ve experienced but Corsica not cheap generally - sunbeds often 30/40E per day where they had them. otherwise most people use just towels on beach which only ok for couple of hours for us. So if you look at location, breakfast and size of suite then can see why priced as it is.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Serenada. Our room was in the annex and had no sea view, but that's what we booked and who's staying in the hotel room during the day anyway. The room is ok for two people although it can be hard to find places to put your clothes and baggage. Contrary to what other reviewers are saying our room definitely had air conditioning. The room was always clean and tidy right after we had finished breakfast, I don't know how they did this, but it was very convenient. The highlight for us was definitely the restaurant. It's right on the beach (perfect view!) and to our surprise dinner was excellent too. Breakfast was ok if you like sweet food (pancakes, pastries, plenty to choose from) but the ham and the cheese could have been better, especially considering there's so much good local food around. I would gladly pay more than 10 EUR for quality cheese/meat. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and very professional. No grumpiness, always helpful, quick to react, just nice overall. Couldn't ask for more here. If one day we travel to the "Calvi" region again, we would chose this hotel again, no question.

I have been in the Hotel's dependance, an apartment for 3 people, on the second floor of a separate building. It comes with no washing machine, no dishwasher, no phone for hair, very old half broken electric cooker, few old pans and cutlery. All relevant points if you travel with a family and you planned a week stay or longer. Generally the service was a bit rough (ex: 2 days to get an hairdryer). Top was the air conditioner broken, so when the "canicule" arrived and we complained they proposed us to change the apt.Yes, this mean in the hottest time to pack averything like if you are leaving and restart. Minor points are WC without any electrical socket, WC door scraped off, drying deck rusty, some lightbulb burnt. But the beach is nice, the apt is not small or old, and it is well placed: it simply needs to be better managed.
