“Nice sea views”

The spa is quite simple with a warm sea water swimming pool and sauna/hammam. We had the sea mud covering and it was relaxing. The restaurant is pricey but the food is original, my kids liked the kids menu very much. The sea view from the terrace is also very nice.

One day the bar was closed due to staff shortage ? We had to descend to the center to drink a beer. This in high season? When the bar is open, there is not much stock, in this case no simple beer available, and if it was replenished the next day it was not cooled. The balustrade on the large terrace side bay, is no longer glass, and replaced by rusted cables. Here and there a skirting board is missing. Building does not appear to have been refreshed and certainly deserves an upgrade for such a location. On the other hand, the rooms are very neatly cared for by super friendly room staff. Plus point. So is the good food, and also super friendly waitstaff. It is noticeable that these employees also have to row with the belts they have. Request the settlement the evening before my departure so that I can leave on time the next day. The receptionist showed me a bundle of work she still had to go through and didn't have time. Probably because I asked the question at 8.55pm, and the end of her shift was approaching. The morning of departure, return to the reception at 7.30am. It couldn't be that fast. She laughed at the fact that her colleague didn't have time the night before. I had to come back after breakfast. Finally, there are points that can be worked on.

“Very nice Thalasso Hotel”

We have spent 3 nights here over christmas and were positively surprised! Our room was freshly renovated and well equipped. Also the wellness area was completely renovated and looked different than on some of the pictures we saw. The quality of the restaurant was very good but especially the chrsitmas menu was quite pricy! Good for a romantic weekend for two especially off season when the wellness area was very quiet!

“Beautiful views, but...”

We had a suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom as we had a dog. The room was tiny and very cold we had to ask for a heater, very few plugs. The toilet was tiny. There was a double bed with controls to raise head and legs which was good. Decent terrace with views of bay. The restaurant was nicel… more

We had a suite with two bedrooms and a bathroom as we had a dog. The room was tiny and very cold we had to ask for a heater, very few plugs. The toilet was tiny. There was a double bed with controls to raise head and legs which was good. Decent terrace with views of bay. The restaurant was nicely situated but we had issues as despite being forewarned that my wife was celiac the staff kept bringing bread and despite ordering food saying celiac the food came and when queried about the sauce the head waitress removed it after checking with the chefs. The shellfish platter was terrible, overcooked shellfish and muscles had no muscles in them, they tried to say out of season but we had just come from Spain near Dénia and had beautiful seafood fresh moules and wonderful prawns. We complained as did not eat much and next morning they did not charge for the mains and seafood platter.

Review for Quadruple Family Room with Sea View which was good but quite far away and roofs directly in front of us. Separate twin bedroom with wardrobe where we stored all our stuff. Note: Check out the hotels in Collioure too before making a decision. GOOD Lots of parking Welcoming reception. Functional, large hotel - rooms all very similar. Room - Hairdryer, lots of sockets, very clean, safe, tea & coffee, 2 bottles of water Nice sized mini fridge with small freezer compartment but still big enough to make a few ice cubes. Take freezer ice cube bags or mini ice cube trays. Restaurant - one of the best meals we’ve had in France, Beef Fillet/Sea Bream & Dauphinoise. Great service by semi- speaking English chap (sorry - didn’t get the name) Plenty of sun beds around the pool area NOT SO GOOD *Pricey at E230 (no breakfast) for a fairly basic but practical room. *Watch the staircase in the Reception area; health and safety hazard as both my husband and I nearly knocked ourselves out by bumping into it! *Just out of Banylus-sur-mer on a hill; 15-20mins walk to the centre down 146 steps or take the longer, flatter, winding road. *Bar closed during the afternoon? Bit rubbish if you’d like a drink on the sun terrace. * Both pools are Salt water - not to our liking. Pool inside - heated; pool outside freezing. *Road noise 6:30am Saturday - could have been the bins? * Mis-communication between Reception telling us one thing and how it worked in practice: - you can swap out your wet towels and then spa place telling us we had to keep them - booked a restaurant table outside for our evening meal but the restaurant insisted we sat inside. *Wifi could be better… NEUTRAL Can’t comment on the spa treatments as didn’t use these facilities, but treatments very expensive. Large open Terrace which could certainly be improved and made much more inviting - perhaps a bar, bar stools and tables etc. Great sea views.
