“A Wonderful stay in Mont Saint Michel”

What a little gem of a boutique hotel in Mont St Michel! Everything was tres magnifigue! Especially Kiki who takes wonderful care of the hotel guests. Would HIGHLY recommend! Everything from our room to the food was perfect. Not a better place to stay in Mont Saint Michel!

We recently stayed at this property and, while the staff were friendly, I left feeling the experience didn’t match the 5-star status it advertises I felt somehow taken for a ride and money wasted , more like paying 5 Star rates for a good 3 Star Hotel. Despite charging premium rates, there is no 24-hour service as one expects in a 5 Star, no pool , no spa which to be fair they do not offer on the website so one should of been aware we didn’t pay attention so our fault there .The owner said he could wake up and serve if we wanted though . Its more the fact this is NOT 5 Star The “full breakfast buffet” promoted by them is very limited in reality – basic items like fruit juice, bacon, fruit platters and other staples have to be specifically requested.There is a tiny buffet board. Pastries are limited to croissant and chocolate croissant , this is France we expected more , and have stayed in France for a month at much better hotels at the 4 Star level …The family room we booked was relatively small, with a tiny verandah that offered little privacy, as people could easily see into the room. Linen was good quality the rooms were clean with a nice large bathtub and shower .There is a lack of space to hang or store clothes , no place to put your soap if in the bath . Again simply not 5 Star. The restaurant menu is pricey, but the food itself was nothing to write home about very bland. We found some nice restaurants close by much cheaper and excellent food. While the staff were welcoming and did their best, the overall product is nowhere near the standard or value promoted or advertised . This is a case of over promising and under delivering in a major way leaving one feeling taken advantage of !
