Zoe, the intern, is fantastic. She made our stay happy and comfortable - willing to assist us with the issues that we had and astute enough to know the kind if wats to reconcile a situation to make guests feel valued. Well done. She us a future star.

“Lovely but a few things let it down”

My partner and I visited for 4 nights. The hotel is very luxurious and the room decor is stunning. The king room had nowhere to unpack clothes except a couple of coat hangars. Prepare to live out of your bag. The room had thick dust on the floor in some corners and even dust balls in the mini bar area. The window did not open more than a few cm’s and the blind in the bathroom window was broken. Although the room was amazing the lack of attention to detail spoilt it a little. The spa area is very calming and clean, a great space to relax in the city. Once we checked out on the final day we were refused access to this area immediately, which was disappointing but fair. Just be aware if you need to shower of you are flying later. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant if a stunning area. A great selection of food. The staff are polite but not very attentive once they have seated you initially.

We stayed 3 nights. Long day as left home 03.30 to get early manchester flight. We took the option to get the tram to town and then change to get to the hotel. So certainly not a central hotel. We entered the very dimly lit hotel from bright sunshine which was rather strange. The lady who greeted us told us we were early (1pm) rather than check in at 3! There was no, ‘ if you want to take a seat we will see what we can do’, or grab a drink/bite to eat. The inference was come back at 3! So we left luggage and went for lunch at a place nearby recommended by a young man on the desk. Great recommendation. So finally checked in. Room was luxuriously appointed but very little hanging space. Steamer nice touch, hairdryer so heavy could barely use it. Bathroom lovely. Plenty of coffee and tea in the room but had to call for fresh milk everyday. We chose not to have breakfast as was extortionate and like to wander to find different places. Came back and fancied a drink at the bar one evening, we couldnt find the bar, we were taken through the restaurant almost to a corner rather than a bar as such. Very pretentious pricing shall we say. Location not ideal, value poor Would i stay again- no
