“Great Small Hotel”

We had a one night stay here while walking the coast to Bayonne. Great little hotel in a quite section of town but easy walking distance to cafes and reztaurants. Exceptionally clean room and linen. Delighful staff. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent lunch here in the heart of Basque country. The service was very welcoming and the entire lunch, which was quite a feast, was all high quality....as were the wines suggested by the servers. The hotel is well located, just a few blocks from the Bay of Biscay and just across from the river. A wonderful spot to spend an afternoon!

“A neighborhood boutique hotel”

We did make reservations a couple of days only before the actual arrival date. All the other hotels (we liked) where booked due to the Film Festival at St. at the same time we were there. We did make reservations a couple of days only before the actual arrival date. All the other hotels (we liked) where booked due to the Film Festival at St. at the same time we were there. We arrived and the key and instructions were on the front desk. The room was comfy, and had two seperate beds (which we booked). The tv was rather small (the only minor thing we can say). Next morning we had breakfast in the cosy breakfast room. Ample choices (3 different kinds of breads, 2 homemade jams, mini croissants and mini chocolate breads, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice (!), honey, fresh fruits, coffee, tea (with real leaves), a local cheese and a local thinly sliced smoked Bayonne (?) ham and boiled eggs. And of course the home made granola which I loved Not to mention the attendance of 2 lovely dogs, named Naomi and Wendy. The owner, maybe she is called Maria-Christina (?) was very good in giving us suggestions where to go, where to eat, etc. The personal touch in this case - we were visiting Basque country both for the first time - is so very important. And I do appreciate this very much so! If we were to come back in this region, we would for sure pick this hotel again, No questions asked.

We stayed here on our way back from Spain for just one night. On face value all looked ok and the welcome was very good Marie also spoke excellent English. The cracks soon began to show. We had no milk on our drinks tray and no teabags,supplies were requested and delivered The room was tiny with space for just one chair there was no storage for clothing.the bathroom access was thru a sliding door and was tiny,the basin plug didn’t function so we could only wash under a running tap and there was no storage for wash bags just a small window sill.Breakfast was served in an adjoining restaurant and at 11 euros we gave it a miss In summary we stayed at 3hotels on our journey this was by far the most expensive and the least comfortable. In closing we should say that we paid extra for this”superior room” I dread to think what a standard room was like. Sorry but we are unable to recommend this hotel
