“Great choice for Collioure!”

My room had a balcony looking towards the mountains, a mini bar, decent WiFi and staff is helpful while stumbling a bit with English. The pool area is wonderful with same view of the mountains. My room had a balcony looking towards the mountains, a mini bar, decent WiFi and staff is helpful while stumbling a bit with English. The pool area is wonderful with same view of the mountains. It’s a 6-10 minute walk into town and that’s pretty much where everything is. There are no restaurants, supermarkets etc that are closer. The train station is also conveniently close but buses leave from “Square M” which is 12 minutes or so walk. Everything great here except the hike up with luggage. No elevator.

We have just returned from our week in Collioure at the Madeloc Hotel. We found it to be very clean and comfortable, well designed for the comfort of guests. All of the staff members, especially the team at breakfast, were extremely pleasant and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble (although we're not demanding!). Breakfast was brilliant and the length of time it was available meant that the Salle de Petit- Dejeuner never got too busy. The area was kept tidy and staff were constantly replenishing items. Everything you could possibly want was there. I shall miss the tiny waffles and pancakes ! Our room was well planned, the only downside for us was that the shower room was quite small, but spotlessly clean as was the rest of our room. The toilet was separate and had no basin, so you had to go into the shower room to wash hands. The hygiene logistics of this are a bit odd. Also, there is a sign in the toilet requesting that no feminine hygiene products/wipes etc should be flushed down the toilet, however there is no sanitary bin, just a dispenser with bags. Which again means that you would have to come back into the bedroom to dispose of the bag in the shower room. A sanitary bin in the toilet would be a simple and useful addition and would also allow a bit of privacy and dignity. The hotel is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the centre/restaurants/shops etc and is in a residential area which is quiet. The walk back up the hill is sometimes demanding if you have been on your feet all day. The hotel has no lift (we knew at the time of booking), so you need to be relatively fit if your room is on the second floor. On the whole, I would recommend this lovely hotel. It's a little gem in beautiful Collioure.

“Ideal for a lovely stay in Collioure”

We had a lovely 4 night stay. Everyone super helpful in advance of our trip answering queries and on arrival at the hotel. We had a standard room with small balcony - room 5 (shutters that block out all the light). Room was super clean and quiet…had everything we needed including a great hairdryer!… more

We had a lovely 4 night stay. Everyone super helpful in advance of our trip answering queries and on arrival at the hotel. We had a standard room with small balcony - room 5 (shutters that block out all the light). Room was super clean and quiet…had everything we needed including a great hairdryer! Air conditioning in the room was powerful and quiet…much needed in the heatwave. Short walk to town and lovely pool area….would be nice to be able to get a lunch snack or drink at the hotel. You have to pay for parking but handy to have a place to park and can reserve it in advance so you keep the space for your stay. Collioure is a special place and we will definitely be back. Charmed!
