We took a chance on the Novotel (and La Grande Motte generally) for a last minute break with 2 kids (13 years old and 10 months old) and were delighted with our choice. This is a nice quiet hotel complete with swimming pool, neighbouring golf course and is ideally place for access to the town of La Grande Motte. The family room was ideal for the 4 of us, and to be fair it was only really a night time base given the spectacular area around. The finishes were perhaps a little dated & basic but not enough to trouble us in any way. Sadly due to the timing of our visit, the Pool & kids facilities had shutdown for the end of season, but it looks like a fantastic spot to while away a summers afternoon. The staff were absolutely brilliant, and were on hand to help with dinner recommendations etc. They were also brilliant with our kids, especially the baby, and both left feeling like they had new friends for life. When we do go back to the area on another family adventure, I’d have no hesitation booking here once again.

“Very nice weekend”

Beautiful area, view of the golf course delight. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast is not bad, the bread was not fresh. The Hotel is designed for relaxation and meditation. Overpriced. Parking 10 euros per day.

I found the place a little old and not so well Maintained (there was a puddle at the entrance to the pool! There is no gym. Breakfast spread was average. I found the place a little old and not so well Maintained (there was a puddle at the entrance to the pool! There is no gym. Breakfast spread was average. We had lunch at the hotel and I have to say it was quite decent. Overall the hotel is not bad but not great either. Given 3 stars cos not up to the standard of a normal Novotel.

Check-in: lasted approximately 45 min, because our requests, concerning the room, were not taken into account. And the reception lady sounded not so friendly, frankly speaking. When we finally got keys for a suitable room, nobody informed us of breakfast times and other facilities. The room: with a good golf field view, quite spacy, everything was in good condition. What we absolutely didn’t like was the fact, that it was still constantly being cleaned despite a hanging “Please don’t disturb” label. Breakfast: different kinds of fruit and yoghurt, fresh orange juice and pancakes were the only eatable and healthiest options. The white bread (only white) and croissants were sometimes raw and pale and sometimes absolutely brown. Tasteless eggs, fat over sweetened waffles and cakes, cheap sweet muesli, not the best quality charcuterie. Not the greatest coffee. No assortment’s changes within 7 days. However, the waiters, although they couldn’t speak English, were attentive and helpful. Pool: clean and relatively large. The best time for swimming - directly after the breakfast and late in the evening, otherwise it can be very loud because of the children or “conference folk”. One can also lend pool towels for a reasonable price – 2€ per whole stay. Location & hotel itself: very good. 20-25 minutes away from the promenade by foot, which is very convenient for the people, who don’t like noise. Plus a nice green well-groomed garden.
