“Perfect spot if on a budget”

Nice was crazy expensive. We found this hotel though. We paid 400 for 4 nights. This hotel is on the tram line. Big room and get a balcony. Supermarkets within 2 mins walk. Its not on the promenade or in the old town . 1.50 EUR on the tram and 10 mins later I'm right in the tourist area. It was sooo hot and the room had good air con. No complaints with this hotel. Wish they had a fridge in room but bough ice in local market.

“Clean and friendly Hotel”

We went as a family of 4 with 2 younger kids. We had the 1 family suite and it was large! Especially by European standards. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. Any question or issues we had were addressed quickly. The location is a 25 minute walk or less than 10 min transit ride to the waterfront. We found the location safe and quiet. We'd definitely stay here again.

From the beginning, I had decided that on my trip to Nice this summer, the hotel wasn't what I was going to spend the most money on. It would simply be a place for me to sleep and unwind after the productive days I was inevitably going to be having over the course of my one week vacation. And for that purpose, this hotel works splendidly. It's a budget hotel, and I spent just a little over €110 a night, which suited me fine. The hotel is located a little on the outskirts of the Nice city center, but it's just a couple of minutes walk to the nearest trams, which take you there pretty much in no-time, so that was no issue for me. The staff was immediately accommodating and friendly, and one thing that was obvious, is that this is a hotel with a great set of ethical values, as they focus on hiring people with disabilities. In addition, the rooms and facilities were always clean, fresh and tidy, and the aircondition worked splendidly! As for the location, there aren't much to entertain yourself with in the near area, except for the supermarket, which was amazing, and would in all likelihood have everything you need to buy, and a few places to go for walks up into the hills not too far from the hotel. My room was surprisingly sizable and had a lovely little balcony, which was also nice. It never felt claustrophobic or too small in any way. My bed was also big and very comfortable. The staff were helpful with taking care of my luggage both upon my arrival, when my room wasn't ready yet, and when I was about to head home and had a few hours to kill in town before the plane left. Now, this is a perfectly sufficient hotel, if you're on a budget, and I have no problems recommending it to others, but I do have a few concerns, which didn't go unnoticed as I was staying there for as long as I was: For the first three-four days of my stay, the internet connection was pretty much non-existent. The 4G-reception in the area is not great, and the WiFi simply wouldn't connect. This was fixed after a few days, but that is quite disastrous in 2022. I also paid for breakfast, but I never really had it at the hotel. Not because it wasn't good, because it probably was, but both times I tried to go down for breakfast, there were pigeons in the dining area, eating away at anything from the croissants to the hot food. That was quite unappetizing, so I regularly went into town for breakfast instead. The not very central location worked very well for me, but if you are travelling in a bigger group, or as a family with children, I might suggest finding a hotel in a more central or touristy area, as travelling back and forth by tram, might not be for everyone, even though it was for me. I missed a refrigerator in my room, especially when it's 35 degrees outside. When I pay over €110 per night, that is to be expected, I feel. The area is quite dirty, and there was a lot of dog feces in the streets. This is naturally not the hotel's fault, but I'm just mentioning it, so that people get a sense of what the area is like. But, like I said, this was a very comfortable stay - the rooms are lovely and had good air condition, and the staff was always amicable and friendly. I can definitely recommend it if you're travelling on a budget and want to enjoy Nice!
