To check in you need to go to Hotel Monsigny (2 doors up). They will give you the code to enter the hotel annexe. Well it really is a budget place with no tea/coffee making facilities, though there is a coke machine down in the annexe lobby area. There appeared to only be a single electrical socket in the room, but they had inserted a 3 way adaptor. This was of no use for us using English 3 pn to 2 pin converters as your could still only use one socket. Luckily I had a 2 pin USB charger with me that I could use. Ther bathroom was smartly decorated, but the show/wet room did get really wet from splashes and there did not appear to be a ventilation system to dry it out. The room looked to have recently been done up/rennovated and we could not complain because the price we paid via BA meant that this was an absolute bargain of a place to stay. The hotel is right near to the main railway station and directly on tram route 1.

“No frills hotel”

This is a no frills (and I mean no frills) hotel, but a good central location and very clean. A decent sized room, great shower and good wi-fi. Easy and efficient check in and out process. They only have 2 irons and 1 board for the 90 rooms, so you’re very likely to be disappointed! Also don’t ask … more

This is a no frills (and I mean no frills) hotel, but a good central location and very clean. A decent sized room, great shower and good wi-fi. Easy and efficient check in and out process. They only have 2 irons and 1 board for the 90 rooms, so you’re very likely to be disappointed! Also don’t ask for a nice bucket as you’ll be refused. A nice rooftop bar with good music and cocktails. All said we were very happy with our stay.

“July stay”

Hotel Annexe has clean comfortable rooms. You enter via a code as its an Annexe of the hotel next door. Beds are very comfortable. Maid service every day. Bring a travel kettle. Next to stop liberation so easy to get to promenade via a tram. Walk in 15 minutes. A pleasant stay.

Booked this hotel with my BA flight. This hotel as the name suggest is the annexe of Hotel Mosigny. The rooms were newly done up. To register you need to go to Hotel Monsigny. They will give you a code to enter the hotel. They charge 20 Euro for the key to the room which is refundable when you check out. The charge is just in case you lose the key. The breakfast was 12 euro or 6 euro for the express Breakfast. Sorry did not try the breakfast. The last night stay at the hotel was going to have a meal there but it was booked for a private function. Looking at the menu it was very competitive. 1 euro upwards for a pizza. We were given a 10% discount voucher provided we spend 15 euro or more. Positives: Modern rooms with bedside lights for each single bed. New bathroom with only shower. TV with a few channels on but had wifi internet. Wifi internet needed a password to access which was good no problems with streaming programs like YouTube or Netflix. On the Tram 1 route which leads to the beach and due just being a tram line there was little traffic noise. Only noise was from dustbin /rubbish trucks at night. There was a balcony with 2 chairs outside. There was air-con but during our stay it was not used. The towels were changed each day. The bed were made up each day. There was a hairdryer. There was parking space for 6 cars but I do not know if there was a charge for the parking space ? There is a Carrefour Express or supermarket across the road. 1 tram stop to Nice Train station or you can walk it. Negatives: Having read reviews of the hotel;we knew there was no tea/coffee maker in the room. We brought our own kettle. There was no fridge which we knew so had brought powdered milk. The bathroom shower was a fixed head but you can turn the head but could not take it off. The bedroom had only 1 2pin socket which after reading reviews they added a multi plug of 3 2pin plugs. This was not of any help to UK citizen which had to use an adaptor. We had 2 adaptor plugs but they clashed or did not fit into the 3 X 2pin multi socket provided. It would have been fine had we had European 2 pin plugs. I used the 2 pin socket in the bathroom usually for the electric shaver for charging. Making sure no water would cause any problems. In the main entrance there were many tables and chairs on the ground floor which had 2 pin sockets which I used in the morning to charge my phone or use for my laptop. During our stay the wash basin was not blocked but slow to flow away. Overall the location was good and newly decorated rooms was fine. Just need to add more electric sockets. Most hotels have a socket next to the bed. having read reviews before going. I am more than happy to recommend this 3 star hotel. I sometimes find that people review hotels expecting 5 star hotel but still want 2 star prices. Hotel Annexe given the price I got from BA.com was very good value. Will come back again when in Nice. Hopefully try there menu provided there is no private function. Tip: Get number 23 bus just outside terminal 1 for 1.5 Euro to Liberation stop then wake down to hotel. The airport bus cost 6 euros. At airport you can purchase the 10 multi trip card for 10 euros. The 100 bus to Monaco has moved to Port Arson and cost only 1.5 euro cheaper than the train and more scenic route too.On your way to Monaco you can use that 10 trip multi card too but not on your way back. You can take tram 1 to Garrabaldi and walk to Port Arson. There is a good Boulangerie Patisserie up the road from the hotel towards Liberation tram stop called E.Zambetti.Says 100% maison which means all home made or in the shop. I really like there round bread with tuna and anchovies in it and cost just over 4 euros.
