In general a very competent property with excellent service (and service recovery). Stayed at this property for a few days after my Paris Semi race to visit Nice for some sightseeing. Room initially assigned on check-in had some unfortunate teething issues but the night manager was superb in immediate service recovery steps and swapping me out for a new room. The property's Director of Rooms and Director of Sales were also very quick to look into the inconvenience caused and rectify the original faulty room. The property is indeed designed with its convent roots in mind. Despite retaining the original terracotta tiles, property is kept very clean with the housekeeping teams vacuuming the common corridors daily. Still a bit odd that the rooms do not have TVs, but that is not a huge issue nowadays especially as many of our iPads/iPhones have much better screens than typical hotel TVs. Breakfast was excellent, and the service staff both at the dining and reception areas are superb. Also had a spa treatment (sorry to the therapist whose name I forgot) and the therapist massage was 10/10. Outdoor pool is also great, albeit a little narrow so if you're looking for laps, go early in the morning when it is unlikely to be in use.

Absolutely stunning hotel in the old town of nice. Newly renovated but keeping lots of old features of the convent the rooms and decor of the entire place is excellent. The spa is an incredible space the only downside was we were not allowed in with our sleeping baby as no U18s allowed. The outdoor pool has amazing views over nice and a great sun trap in the afternoon. They have an onsite bakery making delicious pastries. Hotel great location in old town and not too far walk from great restaurants in port either. Great service from the guy who restocked our room every day and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Would 100% recommend this hotel but a couple of small watch outs / improvements that could be made: Our taxi dropped us a 5 minute walk up the hill from the hotel due to limited access and there was no collection service even though he had phoned ahead to request this. Not ideal with a pram and lots of bags for a 5* hotel welcome. There are no radiators in the hotel rooms which made it difficult to dry anything No U18s allowed in the spa

We just spent a wonderful weekend at Le Couvent. We stayed in one of their 8 suites. The suite , La Tour, is beautifully decorated, equipped with a working kitchen , small bar area , lots of storage and comfortable furniture. The best part of our stay was that this suite include a butler. Our butler Luigi was phenomenal, he handled our check in, gave us a complete tour of the hotel and grounds, set up a WhatsApp group for us to easily communicate together during our stay. He helped with reservations and spa appointments, made sure we had everything we needed including a dog bed and water bowl. He was always available to help with anything. The entire staff at this hotel was friendly, helpful and seemed to love their jobs. The ground are magnificent including terraced gardens and an outdoor heated lap pool. Living in Nice, this was a mini vacation for us, but I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something a bit different while visiting our city.

Our stay at Hotel du Couvent was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail is superb—every element thoughtfully considered and beautifully executed, with a design language that feels deeply respectful of the building’s convent heritage. There is a rare, quiet confidence to the hotel: paired-back luxury, sophisticated restraint, and an atmosphere of calm beauty that instantly puts you at ease. Every aspect of the stay feels carefully curated, from the exquisite bathroom amenities to the perfectly chosen drinks and snacks in the minibar. Nothing feels excessive, yet nothing is missing. Most remarkable of all is the staff. Absolutely fantastic—warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, with a culture that places true emphasis on the wellbeing of their guests. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and every request is met with grace and the unmistakable sense that it is their sincere pleasure to please. We cannot wait to return—should we be so lucky.
