This hotel was a real find! Delightful welcoming staff, full of helpful information. Too early in the season to use the pool, but it looked good, and the outside area was well cared for. The room was extremely comfortable, with a beautiful balcony and view over the bay. Good shower, all equipment in perfect order. Buffet breakfast was copious and of good quality. Safe off-street parking. A five minute walk from the centre of St Maxime. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful vacation”

Very well-kept hotel in a prime location. Quiet and not far from the center. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. With a wonderful view to the Gulf of Saint Tropez. A beautiful garden with private pool. Very child-friendly. Many thanks for your hospitality

This is a very nice hotel a block from the sea and about a 7 minute walk to the center of St. Maxime. We originally thought that the hotel would be too far from “life” going on, but truly it is such a quick walk that you are “right there” essentially. For Americans, Best Western signals a moderate quality hotel; this is a high quality hotel. It is an older building with lovely, gracious traditional décor. The lobby and dining room are elegantly appointed, and the dining room opens onto a bountiful garden with many flowering plants, shade, and comfy chairs which is adjacent to a very private pool area. It is very lovely and quiet. There is no gym or fitness room. Room – Suite Positives + Very quiet – cannot hear any noise in the hallway, and residential neighborhood is upscale and very quiet + Very large balcony, with sunbeds and a wonderful view of the sea and St. Tropez + Comfortable bed and linens + Good shower water pressure; enclosed modern walk-in shower with full glass door + Good air conditioning, individually controlled in the room + reasonably spacious + bathroom area has good shelf space, two sinks, good lighting, and several drawers and cabinets in which you can store things – no counter and storage space in a bathroom is a pet peeve so this is a highlight + small frig; you can easily take their “mini bar” items out and store them on top with the minibar card and then use the frig space for your own beverages etc. Negatives ---a lot of the footprint is dedicated to the bathroom which is more open than preferred (although the toilet room is separate with a door). There is a large triangular shaped tub that takes up a lot of space which could be better used for seating or storage space. The rest of the suite, with bed and couch & chairs, is more tight. ---not a lot of storage space. There are two small closets (with real hangers which is a big plus) and then two alcoves with rough wooden shelves. I cleaned all of the shelves, which were pretty dirty and dusty, then lined them with paper towels so we could put our clothes and things on them, and that worked out ok but not great as several of the shelves are very narrow and shallow so things tend to fall off. --we were only able to ask for and get one luggage rack. There is not much space for suitcases at all. We put one luggage rack in a corner with the suitcase, and used the top of the dresser for a carry on and purse area. The other suitcase we had to put on the coffee table and so space was very tight. --the room is dark as you cannot open the drapes facing west as the room is adjacent to the outdoor solariam that is a lovely terrace space open to all guests. So we had to keep the drapes closed for privacy, and as a result the room was always pretty dark. Breakfast was 20 euros per person. The dining room is elegant and, in the morning, very light and airy adjacent to the lovely garden and pool areas. The buffet is nicely laid out with a whole table dedicated to offering several different types of breads, cakes, and rolls. The protein is organized in a very sanitary way but which is self-limiting in terms of consumption (which perhaps they want). One slice of each particular type of protein (ham, turkey, cheese, etc.) is put into a covered glass container so you have to pick up a covered glass container for each slice you want, so rather quickly you run out of room on the table and risk looking like a glutton as measured by the number of glasses you have. The omelettes are good.
