We stayed here with 4kids aged from 7 to 18. The apartments are ideally located -supermarket and car hire opposite, cocktail bar and cafe nearby and both main beaches 300m away. It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the main beach and tavernas. The apartments are a generous size, fully equipped and comfortable-met our needs completely. Rooms were clean, towels and sheets changed often enough., Properly working air-con on every room. Pool is clean and not too deep for the kids. The owner are really kind and prices on bar by the pool are not excessive. We would really recommend these apartments!

We stayed at the Perla Aprtments as a family of 2 adults and 3 children. The two bedroom apartment was roomy and very well equipped with everything needed for self catering. Our apartment had a Sea view. Only criticism of the apartment was the lack of space to eat or drink outside , as there was only really enough room for 2 people to sit on the balcony. The rooms were cleaned regularly, with a change of bed and towels twice a week. The pool was kept very clean, and was very quiet due to the lack of guests due to Covid-19. The indoor bar area was closed, also due to Covid-19, although drinks could be bought and consumed outside. There was no problem bringing your own food or drink to the pool area as well. Hand sanitizer was available at the pool area, and the staff were all wearing face masks. We had a late flight on the last day, but were not allowed to keep our room, or have the use of another room, to shower etc, which was a bit disappointing considering that the apartments were only about 25% occupied. There is a very good supermarket directly across the road, as well as a grill restaurant serving Gyros etc, and also a snack bar. A 10 minute walk will take you down to the main beach, and a good choice of Tavernas, and a selection of shops/supermarkets. There is a fairly steep walk uphill on the way back to the apartments, but the good food served at the restaurants makes this worthwhile.. Another beach (Psaromoura), can also be reached in 5-10 minutes from the road alongside the Perla. Good snorkeling at both beaches with lots of fish. Some watersports available at the beaches.

Was very impressed at communication from owner as Teletext a waste of time...prior to flying out, as it was one of the first flights out of UK since covid's restrictions. We did however arrive an hour early due to good travel times etc but were surprised that all the buildings were locked up and no one to here greet us, even though I tried calling several numbers to notify them of our early arrival. Luckily a lovely family from Holland round the pool helped us to find someone. The buildings and pool are well maintained and apart from the apartments bathroom and floors lack of cleaning, the beds have matress proctors on sheets changed regularly too and rest of the buildings are pretty well cleaned. They are well equipped for a self catering apartment, kettle, toastie machine and coffee percolator, we even have a TV! Everyone is masked up. Sanitizer available and pool water checked daily. It's so laid back here and same goes for the village/ beach below. Can leave phone and purse on sun bed or wall...never touched! My only complaint( if you can call it that) is that bloody steep hill up and down too and from the beach! Too old, too hot to climb at midnight. But mainly too full up after eating too much beautiful food, free fruit and raki...... Bus is now running to Heraklion again as of Monday last week.
