We spend almost 10 days in paradise .it was very peaceful and everybody very friendly.The beach is very beautiful but the water is a bit cold ,big nice spaces with beautiful flowers and huge palms .I need to say that sports area it’s a dream of fun and nice things to do …special shoutout to the most energetic trainers that we ever meet Costas and Niki ,they keep us fit through great activities.Definitely we will remember this for long time and returning back is a fact !!!

“Such a lovely place.”

Had a just amazing weeks holiday at Grecotel Amirandes, the hotel architecture, staff and facilities and our garden room so impressive. The restaurants, food, drinks,setting and friendliness of staff stand out above others. We were able to book each restaurant you must try them, and used the dine out arrangement. Just a 10min taxi ride to Aspalathos (15euro each way) a lovely experience and again a friendly greeting and super meal with such original atmosphere, all arranged by the desk staff. Also on a rainy day we went to the archaeological museum of Heraklion ( taxi 40 euro each way) 20 euro each to enter - well worth the effort but go early to avoid que. The taxi driver came back to collect us 4 hours later. All the staff were so nice to us. Thank you for the experience.

We had a wonderful week at Amirandes. From the moment you arrive the service could not be better. We were here for a week and booked a family double room all inclusive with our three children. The kids loved the kids club (special note for Veronika who is wonderful and very attentive to all their needs) and the family disco! They loved all the activities and especially the beach clean up which was a really nice way of getting them to think about the environment. I also had a brilliant time on the padel court. I My wife really enjoyed the yoga classes with Nikki and the wonderful private pottery session the hotel organised for us with Eva and Nikos. Rajon, Kai, Sophia and Evelina made us all feel right at home. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, the entertainment brilliant, the cleaning was perfect and it was a joy to walk into our beautiful rooms every day. We wish we could have stayed longer! We'll be back!

For a 5 star hotel the ball has been dropped this is a hard one for me this is my second year in a row coming to crete love it here the hotel is supurd with spectacular views in 1 hand but eyebrow raising in the other Good points First class service from the moment we stepped off the coach towels to freashen up cold drink lovely staff did not push anything took us for small tour telling us where thing where what time stuff is etc room fantastic beautiful views clean no issues there Grey area Food not the greatest of opinions but what there is good quality shame there is not a lot of creten options this morning the opinion you could have got a full English breakfast if I wanted that I would stay in England (my opinion) 1 main small restaurant can get busy silly thing 1 toaster long wait drinks the all inclusive/comfort package again good quality no watered down rubbish name brands problem is if you can get one it is a waiter service waited nearly 40mins just to get a coffee and one evening our drinks never came not sure why Bad points Pool bar /beach bar close service at 5.30pm Snacks are a strange one you can only get them at the bars if you are on all inclusive there is about 6/7 choices very good quality but they are like full meals Dinner again excellent quality small choice not good for children i saw children eat bread and pasta this is some where i could not bring my grandchildren but everybody is different evening time this is the biggest down side there is nothing to do i dont want agga do and bingo but something would be good 1 night a couple of local singers and another a person blowing a trumpet no bar area with up to date music or entertainment i am 51 so not looking for night club but something would be good large outside pool is cold and only downside to the rooms is the TV no English channels apart from the news the TVs are not smart you can not even download your own apps like Netflix/Disney etc which is strange as last years 4 star hotel and a local hotel to this one you can these down points may not be anything to everyone but you do pay a lot to stay here and it is stunning but sadly does not tick all the boxes sorry amirandes you are doing lots right but also a few things wrong if you are looking for a quite relaxing beautiful place and not worried about having nothing to do in the evening this is your place still love crete won't hesitate to come back to the island
