“Travelling with a baby. You should go here.”

This is really really great hotel and resort. If you are travelling with a baby it is fantastic. We had an 8month old with us and there were always highchairs (baby chairs as they called them) in every restaurant you went to. Bring your baby to dinner or wherever they are always welcome as are all children. The room was beautiful, clean. plenty of space. Netted travel style cot was useful. They also told us anything else we need for the baby to call front desk but we didn't end up needing anything. I really liked the robes in the room. I considered buying one from the shop. The Crete village style of the resort means there is plenty of paths for pram/ buggy walks. The board walks along the beach are good bumpiness for a pre-sleep push. The shop on site sells anything you might have forgotten. This is also where you collect your pool towels. Also a little shop just down the road from the hotel for any other room supplies you might want. The food and drinks are fantastic. Not like many other "all inclusive" type places. The wine is house red, white, rose at lunch and dinner but they have menus if you want anything other than that. The cocktails on offer were good. Not AMAZING but can't complain. They also had some cocktails for extra cash. Baby food wise. We were told to ask front desk for this. But when I went there I panicked a bit as they just asked "what do you want" so I asked for mushed up broccoli, fish and potato. They asked for what time. And then it was to be at the Orion restaurant at that time. I could have asked for it everyday. But there is plenty of baby/child friendly food everywhere. And they also gave me loads!!! Way too much for one small human. I had some little tupperwares that I had which I used. Our fave was lunches at the Theatro Pool Restaurant for lunch. Different delicious food everyday. The man who makes the pizzas is very friendly and he makes the best pizzas. There was a slight lull/ dead time from 3-7 ish where the only food you could get was either pizza, fruit or crepes. But not the worst position to be in. We went just out of season so the beach bar/ restaurant was not open yet. But it looked very pretty. Overall, a very hard place to find any fault with. If I HAD to find ways to make it even better, it would be slippers could be better quality and the wine glasses are ugly unless you pay for the non-house wine. But that is me being VERY picky. Also, if you don't have a baby I am sure you will also have a great time. We took it in turns to try to adults only pool and bar. I believe this is the only bar that serves prosecco. It is a little small though so can imagine it getting busy and full quickly in the summer season. The entertainment shows were pretty good. The Greek night in the village square particularly. We didn't bother with any of the others. Things to consider: - our room didn't have a bath if you are someone who always baths your baby/ child - bottle sterilising. There was a microwave at lunch and dinner in main restaurant if you have those Mam bottles. - water for formula they refill the bottled water in your room for you, but I also forgot and used kettle boiled tap water and baby was fine. - it is quite French. Expect to be greeted in French first rather than Greek.
