After eating at the Restaurant a couple of times last year we decided to stay there this year and we weren’t disappointed. We decided to stay half board. The breakfast was varied with cereals breads and cooked. My daughter is gluten free and on our arrival gluten free bread was available. Evening meals were very varied and plentiful. The accommodation was clean updated. We enjoy the pool and plenty of beds available. The pool was never full. The pool bar was lovely. Really enjoyed the milkshakes. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and even when our flight was delayed we were greeted at 2am and was shown our room. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Although these apartments are basic they have everything you need with extremely friendly, helpful staff. Especially Elena at the pool cafe. Although these apartments are basic they have everything you need with extremely friendly, helpful staff. Especially Elena at the pool cafe. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast food was buffet style which could be improved. The apartments are located at the quieter end of Stalis strip and just across the road from the beach. It was a perfect location for us and would return to Sergiani Apts. The onsite restaurant food is very good and was one of the best we had in Stalis.

We just got back from this totally lovely, family-run Greek hotel and restaurant, and honestly, it was such a good find! We were in room 22, which had this sweet little balcony overlooking the street and the restaurant downstairs – perfect for people-watching. The room itself was pretty decent; they cleaned it every day, which was a huge plus. The balcony had a nice setup with a table and a couple of chairs, plus a spot to hang our wet clothes, super handy! Now, the bed was a bit on the firm side, I'm not gonna lie, but after a couple of nights, I actually got used to it, and the pillows were nice and fluffy, so that helped. They had a safe in the room, although it was an extra charge, and the same goes for the air conditioning. There was also this little kitchen area, which was great for making coffee in the morning – it had a sink, cupboards stocked with the basics like plates and mugs, and a kettle, but no stovetop for cooking full meals, which was fine by us. Oh, and there was a fridge with a freezer section, which was perfect for keeping our drinks cold. The only real bummer about the room was the bathroom; it was a bit dated, but clean enough. The shower, though, was tiny – like, maybe 800mm wide – and the shower curtain was one of those clingy ones, which was just annoying. It did the job, but that's about all you can say for it, haha. The hotel had a pool, but we didn't even bother with it, since we're more beach people. But the hotel restaurant, oh my god, it was amazing! Such a great menu with loads of choices, and everything was so tasty and really good value. It was always packed, which is always a good sign, right? Location-wise, the hotel was spot-on. It was surrounded by bars and restaurants, and the beach was only like a five-minute walk away. Even though our room faced the street and the restaurant, the double-glazed doors were fantastic and blocked out almost all the noise. We heard a little bit of noise from the apartment above, like chairs being moved, but nothing too bad. And it was super quiet at night, which was a blessing. We spent a few evenings in Stalis, but mostly we went to Malia because we love people-watching, and it was so much fun watching all the young 'uns living their best lives on holiday, lol. I'm not sure exactly how long it took to walk to Malia from the hotel because we weren't paying attention to the time (we were on vacation!), but I'd say it was about 20-25 minutes at a really slow, leisurely pace. It's all flat, so it's an easy walk, and there are tons of bars, shops, and restaurants along the way. We also rented a car for three days, which cost us 120 euros for a small car. We drove to Aghios Nikolaos, Istro (which had a beautiful sandy beach with crystal-clear water), Sissi (a really pretty marina with super clear water and palm trees), Hersonissos (a super busy town, but the beach wasn't that great), and Mochos (up in the mountains for a Greek night). The road to Mochos is wide enough, but I'm not a big fan of heights, so I found it a bit scary because you're really driving up the side of a mountain. The village is gorgeous, though, so it was totally worth the slightly terrifying drive. Overall, we had an amazing time! This end of Stalis is perfect because you can easily walk to Malia for a change of scenery. The only thing is, the sunbeds on Stalis beach are packed in super tight, so we preferred the beach and beach clubs in Malia, which were also slightly cheaper. The beaches in this part of Crete, though, aren't quite as stunning as the ones in the Chania area, in my opinion. A lot of them are quite rocky, and there aren't many sandy beaches. And the sandy beaches that do exist are absolutely crammed with sun loungers, which kind of ruins the beach vibe, which is a shame. There are hardly any places where you can just lay out on a towel.

“Excellent”

Amazing staff couldn’t do enough for us food excellent good location close to all amenities definitely go again but would book a premier room Nicos what an amazing young man would strongly advice anyone going to stalis to stay there definitely going back next year x
