We are currently staying here and honestly, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. If you are looking for a quiet, small, and intimate place to truly relax, this is it. The overall quality and aesthetics of the hotel are incredible—every single area feels super clean, beautiful, and luxurious, yet very welcoming and cozy. First and foremost, we have to talk about the service. The staff here is on another level. From the reception and the kitchen to the spa and the bar, literally everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are incredibly nice, attentive, and always helpful. The food is also amazing! Everything we ate was delicious. A special shout-out goes to the bar and their amazing cocktails. It’s so convenient that you can order a top-tier drink and have it brought right to your sunbed, whether you’re by the pool or down at the beach. That is pure luxury. Just to be fair and help future guests (and the hotel), we have two small points for improvement, which definitely didn't ruin our amazing experience: 1. **Vegetarian/Vegan options:** While the food is great and there are plenty of non-meat dishes, most of them are side dishes (mostly veggies and carbs). It would be awesome if the kitchen could add more plant-based protein options for breakfast and dinner. 2. **Room layout (Basic Garden View):** For our personal taste, the layout of this specific room type is a bit off. There is a lot of space dedicated to a kitchen area that we didn't really use, while the bathroom area feels a bit tight and doesn't offer as much privacy as you might want. Other than that, this hotel is a 10/10. We highly recommend it and would love to come back!

We have absolutely loved our stay at Asterion Suites & Spa and would happily return. The standout feature for us was the service. Every member of staff made a genuine effort to get to know us, remembered our usual drinks and orders, and consistently made us feel welcome and valued. We also received some fantastic recommendations for things to do in Chania, which helped make our trip even more special. The food exceeded our expectations throughout our stay. While breakfast was fairly similar each day, it was consistently high quality and there was always plenty to enjoy. The real highlight was the made-to-order lunches and the hotel's à la carte restaurant, where we followed staff recommendations and enjoyed some of the best meals of our holiday. We were equally impressed by the facilities. The pool area was beautiful, with plenty of comfortable loungers, fresh towels every day, and a great balance of sunny and shaded spots. Surprisingly, though, it was the beach that won us over. We're usually pool people, but we spent so much time swimming in the sea and relaxing by the water. The app-based drinks service was brilliant and made beach days even more enjoyable. Our stay didn't get off to a perfect start, as we felt the Superior Double room was smaller than expected and lacked some privacy unless the curtains remained closed. However, after sharing our feedback, the hotel immediately upgraded us and could not have handled the situation better. The upgraded room was incredible and made a huge difference to our holiday. Had we realised how much of an upgrade it would be, we would have happily booked that room category from the outset. Other touches worth mentioning include the excellent housekeeping, thoughtful turndown service, very comfortable beds, quality cocktails, and the wonderfully peaceful atmosphere throughout the resort. The sunsets were also stunning, whether viewed from the pool, restaurant, bar or beach. If we were being picky, the evening entertainment wasn't quite our style. The live piano, violin and saxophone performances were very talented and will appeal to many guests, but we occasionally found ourselves wishing for some more relaxed, familiar live music. The immediate area is also fairly quiet, although transport links make it easy to explore elsewhere on the island. When we think back on this holiday, we'll remember three things above all else: swimming in the sea, the genuinely wonderful staff, and the beautiful location. We have just come back after a week at the Asterion (mid-June), we were all-inclusive and staying in a standard double garden view room. We had a wonderful time. Every member of staff was welcoming, professional, friendly, and helpful from the first minute to the last. Our arrival to the hotel was the most relaxing check-in we have ever had: sat on a sofa with a delicious smoothie drink while all the paperwork was taken care of. After that, there was a lovely little welcome package in our room of fresh fruit and wine. The hotel itself is small and relaxed. If you are looking for a lively night scene, this isn’t for you. If you are looking to lounge by a pool with gentle music or on a quiet beach with spectacular views across the sea then I would recommend it. The all-inclusive package was well worth it for us. A great app for ordering to your sun-bed (at the pool or beach) and a good selection of cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic drinks. The bar staff were great with quick and polite service. Lunchtime was à la carte with a good selection and I recommend the salmon and sea bass. The evening buffets were varied and excellent. There was always something and a good range for all. The pool is small but lovely for a cooling relaxation and when we were there it was always quiet. There is a good variety of beds and while the poolside ones get taken up quickly there are plenty more down on the beach. We always had somewhere nice to sit and sip a mojito. The beach is pebbly (I recommend beach shoes) but nice and with direct access out of the hotel. Our room was a little noisy but it was always clean, had a nice coffee machine, and a well-stocked fridge with fresh water every day along with soft drinks and a couple of beers. We had a perfect week. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt well-looked after and rested.

If you were wondering about whether you should book Asterion Suites and Spa then go ahead and do it! We had the amazing Panoramic rooftop pool room, 405. I am particularly fussy about cleanliness but the room was cleaned to perfection every day. The sun beds by the pool and beach were the comfiest I have ever been on. The cabanas are a real treat. Manolis, in the À la carte restaurant, is a complete asset to this place. He couldn’t do enough for you. The lunchtime staff in the À la Carte were fabulous and pandered to my need for ice cubes in my wine. The food at this hotel is outstanding. See the photos! The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a choice to suit all tastes. The lifeguards are so attentive, making sure the pool is clean and debris free. The app for ordering drinks is an amazing touch. We stayed all inclusive and when ordering from the app to our sunbeds, our drinks arrived incredibly swiftly. What an asset Katarina is. We mentioned a slight concern on day 2 and she checked back every day to make sure we were 100% happy. I believe because this hotel has limited amount of rooms it makes the stay more personal and allows staff to treat the guests like family. There is no sun bed reserving. Reception staff were fantastic and even printed off the local bus timetables for us. Because this is not in a built up area it allows for complete relaxation. When we stayed we were in much need of this and many have commented since my return the difference they see in me. This is all down to the Asterion Suites & Spa. I would rarely go to the same place twice but seriously considering a trip later on in the year.
