We had a wonderful week here in June. Fabulous hotel. Very comfy rooms, food was fantastic and varied and all the staff were brilliant. The reception staff, cleaners, bar and restaurant staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Our only disappointment was there were not enough sun beds round the pool. Those that are there are great if you are young but for older visitors (us) they are not suitable. We also witnessed people putting towels on early and then not using them for hours, something that happens everywhere and it’s time hotels addressed this issue somehow. None of this would stop us from visiting again. Loved it!

The syntopia is everything you’d hope for and more from a luxury aesthetic hotel! The rooms are spacious and well decorated that give off that Mediterranean vibe. Lovely duel option shower room that has the rain head over top and the high powered hand nozzle to blast off the sun cream etc The beds are large and comfortable and the aircon is freezing which is just how I like it. The pool is beautiful with nice temperature water to cool off from the very hot weather that July brings. The sun loungers are comfortable and spacious but like any other hotel you have to set your alarm to get the good ones even though the hotel says the pool doesn’t open till 8:00 I was still down there securing a good bed from 7:00 as if I didn’t you may not get one. There are 3 pools, the main one which had a semi lively atmosphere, the one on the same level but at the back of the hotel which was a tranquil themed pool with spa like music and the roof top pool which had an Ibiza kinda vibe but that didn’t open till 10:00 and the pool was quite small but the roof is equally a aesthetic as the rest of the hotel. The food was buffet style and had enough for what ever your taste is but don’t expect luxury dining as it’s just your standard canteen style food court. One thing to note is you have to book your slot at the restaurant which were 18:30-19:30 19:30-20:30 and 20:30-21:30 so if you don’t book it early enough you’ll be having an early dinner which for us was not ideal as there were people still in there bathing suits while other dressed nicely for dinner. Each day had different entertainment from live bands, cello playing to a live DJ on Sundays around the main pool which plays solid for 6 hour ( maybe the hotel should give him a break half way or at least bring him drinks) There is a nice boutique shop on site selling clothing, bags, hats and other souvenirs but was expensive The gym was a nice size that catered for no more than 4 people at a time which had to be booked. The equipment was more than enough with free weights up to 25kg along with some other resistance machines One criticism of the hotel is that the spa was massively over priced €100 for a standard massage is a bit expensive in my opinion as we got the same deal down the road for half that price. The hotel need to pick the target audience, we paid £3000 for a week which may be a bit more than some can afford but not unattainable for the general population if they really wanted to go here however if they charged less for the spa they’d get a lot more business and the poor spa lady wouldn’t have to go around everyday touting for business which once people saw the price the politely declined The bar/restaurant staff were amazing, they did everything to make you feel like you were important to them. This stay was for our honeymoon and not that we were looking for preferential treatment but the hotel didn’t make much of an effort to make it feel like a honeymoon, all we were given was some honey in our room where as other around the pool were brought Prosecco and fruit for complaining about something. Would just have been nice to feel a bit more special Over all I would highly recommend this hotel if you just want to chill in a beautiful setting. It quite far out from anywhere so do bare that in mind

Full of couples that just want to chill. If you want fun, dancing or entertainment this is not the hotel for you. 6:45 am and most of the good beds are gone! People actually lie down on beds and sleep with towels on… Food is lush although not the greatest selection in the world. When there was ‘Italian night’ there was just one type of pizza and one type of pasta served. The same with ‘Indian night’...one curry and noodles. The rest of the food was similar to what other nights did. Saying that the selection was very good, there was always something to eat, you couldn’t go hungry! Also great selection of desserts. Most of the staff worked hard, some played on the Iwatch when they should be refilling wine/prosecco/cocktail glasses. Bar staff was always amazing though and constantly walked around asking people for drinks - cheers to that! It was definitely a highlight of my holiday. Rooms spotless and spacious- no issues. Lift a bit slow but what can you do.., Location a bit far; €2.20 on the bus one way to Rethymno. Buses twice per hour. Taxi €14 one way. App similar to Uber works fine but then charges you €2 per transaction so be aware. Entertainment in the evening finishes 11pm and is usually very chilled one. Loved the rooftop bar!!! All inclusive ends 11pm which is a bit mean to be honest, should be midnight in my opinion. When we arrived around 1am we weren’t even offered a welcome drink!!! Not the greatest start of the holiday after travelling for 12+ hours… that’s something that should be looked into. Saying that we had freshly made wraps in the fridge and that filled the gap. Overall one of the hotels I liked a lot but wouldn’t necessarily rush to go back to.

“Fantastic”

Had a very nice stay. most of the time in the jungle swimming pool bar staff could’ve asked more for drinks. Food was amazing but just a few more alternatives without milk or cream for the desserts would’ve been good.
