I can't thank Melina and Yannis of Melina Hotel Santorini enough. They made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel is conveniently located just a 5 to 8 minute walk from Fira, with excellent access to the town and only a few minutes' walk from the main bus station, making it easy to explore the island. Melina was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay and was very hands-on with everything. She recommended excellent restaurants that weren't tourist traps, as well as a delicious and affordable gyros place, which quickly became our favourite spot. She also helped us arrange a car rental at a much better price than most airport rental companies, delivered within 15mins to the hotel. Melina has plenty of great suggestions (restaurants, spots and times to go) so I would highly recommend to take note of the suggestions. Melina Hotel is a family-owned, traditional hotel full of charm. We stayed for six days and would definitely return. Although the hotel has a classic, traditional style, it is exceptionally well maintained and feels warm, cosy, and welcoming. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good variety of choices each morning. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff were friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. The swimming pool was also clean and well maintained, making it a lovely place to relax after a day of exploring. Melina and her team truly made our wedding anniversary extra special. She welcomed us with a delicious cake to celebrate the occasion, and when she noticed how much I loved the bougatsa at breakfast, she thoughtfully wrapped some for me to take to the airport. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Melina is one of the kindest and most genuine hosts we have ever met. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

I felt lucky to have stayed at Melina Hotel, It was a beautiful spot close to the hustle and bustle of Fira but also a nice walkable distance away to experience some blissful peace by the pool. I was blown away by Melina who runs the place with family. She was an amazing host and truly made our experience. She was a friendly with a polite informative attitude towards all her guests that really showed she cared. The accomodation was clean and everything we needed for our stay. There was lots on offer at breakfast to fuel you for a great day. I can speak on behalf of both me and my friend that we would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Melina hotel to all. Thank you Melina from the girls with the pizza float! “Comfortable, safe and close to all”

I just returned from a trip to Santorini as a solo traveler with a painting group. I was a bit apprehensive having never done it before but I felt safe and taken care of by Melina! I had a small room with a twin size bed but it had everything I needed including a patio with a view of the water. I can’t say enough about Melina’s homemade breakfast - I am still thinking about some of the Greek pastries and the yogurt we all had each morning. The location is perfect - walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Fira and so close to the grocery store that I walked back with my bags. Melina will go above and beyond and help you with anything you need. She helped us book a wonderful day on a catamaran which was a highlight of the trip. Each night it felt like I was coming back to a friend’s home where I felt safe and comfortable and was also greeted my Melina’s adorable Yorkie !

I stayed at Melina Hotel whilst on a painting holiday. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. On arrival the hotel owner, Melina , gave us a map and thorough explanation of where everything was and how to get around the island. She helped with booking excursions and taxis to the airport. Melina takes great pride in her hotel and it shows. Breakfast was typically Greek and tasty (spinach and cheese pies especially) and nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious, quiet and right opposite the pool, which was great for early swims. It had a small balcony where I was able to dry my swimsuit and pool towels were provided on request. Kettles are not provided in the rooms as standard, but I asked for one and it was there within minutes. There was a fridge, safe, hairdryer and fresh towels each day. The hotel is within easy reach of the town and the Caldera with it's incredible views of the volcano and sunset and there are plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
